"Almost 6 years ago, I sat in a coffee shop in Chiangmai, Thailand and started writing a children’s series about staying safe from unwanted touch, which would eventually include three story books, each accompanied by a Colouring Book for family use and a Teacher’s Guide complete with lesson plans and activities. The stories star Lady B a feisty but safety co...nscious ladybug - and her best friend, Jesse who is a would-be world famous treasure hunter. Together they discuss having adventures but always following lessons about staying safe that they learned from their grandparents. It is beautifully illustrated by our daughter-in-law, Lisa Shim. The first of the trilogy, Lady B Spots Trouble, is now out. Yaaaay!!! This coming Saturday, October 10th, from 11am to 3pm, we will have our book launch at the Let’s Be Thankful Event, at 7060 Arbutus Crescent in Upper Lantzville, just a few minutes away from Woodgrove Mall. It will be an outdoors event which will be covid safe. Wearing a mask will be mandatory. There will be other tables including pottery and other gift items. In case of rain, there will be tents to keep us all dry. If at all possible, we would really love to see you there and help us celebrate.
