As a private Campground, we made the decision before June to switch our full-service transient sites into seasonal sites for the summer of 2020. These seasonal sites will be turned back into transient sites for 2021. This means we did go ahead and cancel all of the reservations for the 2020 camping season. We have filled all of these seasonal sites and will NOT be reversing our decision now that phase two will allow Campgrounds to open. We apologize to everyone who had mad...e reservations with us to come camping this summer. We could not sacrifice the safety of our campers and our own happiness as a family. This was not an easy choice for us to make and we are sincerely sorry. *We will allow NO SERVICE camping to begin on June 19th and are taking reservations now. This is only for trailers that are self-sufficient (have a bathroom) as we cannot allow tent camping due to our washrooms remaining closed. *

With the announcement from premier Ford today campgrounds are included in the first phase of opening. As private campground owners we have the right to open our park AND close it at any point. At this time, we will only be opening the Campground for seasonal campers. For seasonal campers the campground will open SUNDAY, MAY 17th. Every seasonal will be required to check in at our office. Once we have prepared a plan of action to ensure all transient campers entering our pa...rk are safe, we will only then open our transient sites. Transient campers please have patience! All common areas will be closed, no visitors will be permitted on the property only those part of your household. This being said if we feel that ANY camper is not following our guidelines that we have put place they will be immediately removed from the park. These new guidelines are put in place to ensure the safety of all those in the park and if you do not take them seriously please stay at home. We will be sending a mass email to all of our seasonal campers containing our new code of conduct, as well as a waiver of liability. Seasonals, please wait for this email before sending any questions or comments. This is good news! Thank you for all of your support thus far, and we are happy to be able to welcome you all back into the Dreamaker. Let’s pull together as a community and each do our part so we can all enjoy the 2020 camping season. Thank you! :) See more

IMPORTANT Covid-19 Update: We received word this morning that the Ontario Government has extended the Emergency Order act until May 19th, 2020. Previously that date was May 11th, 2020. What does this mean? ... Unfortunately this means that we will have to cancel both full service and no service camping reservations for the May long weekend. We will be personally notifying ALL campers who had reservations for the May long weekend. Expect a call or email in the next couple of days. Seasonal campers, this means that we are mandated by the government to keep the campground closed to seasonal campers for the May long weekend as well. Dreamaker Family Campground has been open for 25 years, this is the first May long weekend that it will be closed. Posting this saddens us greatly, just as we know it will sadden many of you.

After owning the park for eight years we have watched Dreamaker becoming a park that we are beyond proud of. Every summer we are reminded why we followed our dream of owning a campground, sustaining a family owned, family operated, small business. After 8 seasons the up and coming 9th season will be unlike anything we have ever experienced. We do not have all the answers some of you are looking for, we are not hiding or holding back information and we most certainly are no...t in it to take your money. The truth of the matter is we are experiencing a large amount of stress, the weight of making sure our family and small business can survive all the while making sure our campers are kept happy, is a large weight to carry. That is 96 seasonal campers and their families + a booked solid summer of transient campers to keep happy and reassured. Our family believes that it is not in our place to judge those who have been pressuring us or shown hostility. We know who we are and what our Campground stands for. Thank you to those who have NOT been supportive or shown understanding, because of people like you we wouldn’t have learnt and grown stronger. We appreciate all the support and love shown by the large majority of you, reminding us that to be successful you must have amazing supporters and in our case campers. Thank you to anyone who has supported us at any point in our 8 years of ownership, we couldn’t have done it without you. Dreamaker Family Campground will continue to be a place filled with love, respect, and grace, even during these hard times. Every decision we make going forward is ALWAYS in the best interest of our campers, like it has been since our first season of ownership. We strive to do our best to keep you updated and find ways so that we can all enjoy a safe 2020 camping season. Stay safe and filled with hope. -The Hofer Family.

We are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. We are still hopeful to open our park May 8th, as planned, even if restrictions may apply. Please, take precautions and stay home! Last weekend was our Dreamaker Family Campground Seasonal Disc Golf Tournament. It was a beautiful day for disc golf . Now for the results. We had our first ORA...NGE card participating in the tournament this year. Our orange tees are our shortest beginner tees which eliminate most of the rough and OB from play so the player can truly enjoy learning the sport. Our three players all played TWO great rounds. They finished Sarah,Hunter and Colten, with Colten taking the CTP on hole 3. Way to go guys. #growthesport See more

Dreamaker is looking into hosting a event this August with live music from local artists. We would appreciate it if everyone could leave a comment with two genres of music they would like to hear from. In saying that, if you know of any local bands/solo artists that would be interested they can give us a call or email!
