Support local Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, many small businesses have been struggling to survive. More than ever, buying local is extremel...y important to give a boost to our economy during these difficult times. Why buy local? Local businesses benefit your local community in many ways. It's good for the environment Local businesses often have a smaller carbon footprint than larger companies. It's a pay forward system Local business owners provide jobs to your friends and neighbors who buy from other local businesses afterward. That helps to grow your community both socially and economically At the MySmile Centre, we want to do our part to help out our patients with small businesses in our community Are you a local business owner? Or do you know someone who is? We would like to include your business in a shout-out on our social media pages to help encourage people to buy local and give small businesses a boost Send us a message or leave a comment below to be featured in our 'Buy Local' social media posts! #mysmilecentre #webelieveinyoursmile #buylocalcanada #mysmile_buylocal #supportlocalbusiness #supportlocalcanada #dentalappointment #canadadentist See more

IMPORTANT UPDATE! Please Read! Hello! As many of you may have seen or heard on the news yesterday, Ontario is allowing health-care providers including dentists to get back to work once health and safety guidelines are in place. There has been a lot of confusion surrounding what exactly this means for the dental field. ... Up until now, due to COVID19 pandemic restrictions, dentists have only been permitted to provide emergency dental treatment. Dental emergency treatment is restricted to basic procedures to relieve pain or infection. This means that we have been unable to provide any other type of dental procedures since mid-March. Now, we have been advised that we will be able to offer urgent & non- essential services, as well as emergency treatment. Dentists will be allowed to return to practice in stages, based on risks, and with the safety of our patients, our team members and our community as our number one priority. The next stage will involve more elective and preventive procedures. All our offices will be ready to provide the safest care possible. We are hoping to get the final go ahead by the end of the week and will let you know exactly when we can begin seeing you after that. Thank you for your patience and understanding. FAQ: What is the most likely timeline for reopening? We will be open for urgent & emergency care next week and starting June 8th for more non-essential services What procedures will we be able to do? Aside from treating dental emergencies we will be able to do: Extractions, fix broken fillings, root canal treatments, make night guards and anything else that is urgent. We are hoping to be able to do all procedures ASAP once we get guidance from the ministry of health and the RCDSO (Dental College) Will I be able to get my teeth cleaned and my regular recall exam (check up)? We are hoping to begin scheduling hygiene appointments by the middle of June As guidelines change this may be sooner or later How will you contact me for my next appointment? One of our team members will contact you to review your needs and schedule your appointment appropriately. We will be initially focusing on following up on emergency and urgent care. Please call, text or email us if you have a specific concern and we will respond ASAP. Do we have enough PPE? Absolutely! Our offices will be well equipped to keep you and our teams safe. We have been providing emergency care throughout the pandemic with appropriate PPE For anyone who may have missed our Patient Information Webinar last week, here is the link to the recording: https://youtu.be/OGniTtuw3n4 It is our goal to keep you updated and well informed. North York Smile Centre 28.02.2020

Hello Smile Centre Family, We are still working hard to keep communication open and keep all of our patients updated as we try to navigate through this ever-changing situation. We are definitely getting closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. We are currently still waiting for direction from the government and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons. We anticipate being able to open up soon, at least to see people who are in need of immediate care. We are running some eme...rgency clinic days in 3 of our locations, and are hoping to be expanding those hours soon as well. We know that many of you have questions about how COVID19 may affect your dental treatment and operations at our Smile Centres. We have organized a Patient Information Webinar that we will be hosting on Thursday May 21 @7:30pm. We will be sending out the invitation link via email next week. We are trying to contact everyone personally by phone as well, but there are a lot of you and it will take some to reach everyone. We miss you! And we know you are missing your regular hygiene check ups and cleaning appointments and your free dental swag! We are organizing a Drive By HELLO at the office on Sunday May 24 between 1pm-3pm. If you are in the neighbourhood, stop by and grab a dental goodie bag for each member of your family. We look forward to seeing you (at a distance, of course) and it will be a fun game to figure out who is who behind our masks and goggles, LOL. Patient Webinar - Thurs, May 21 - 7:30pm Drop By Hello on Sunday, May 24 - 1:00pm-3:00pm Located at North York Smile Centre 5 Park Home Ave, North York We will be emailing updates periodically, but for the most up to date information, please follow us on social media: Instagram: @mysmilecentre See you soon, Your Smile Centre

Hello Smile Centre Family, We want you to know that we are thinking about you and your families during this uncertain time. We are working hard to keep communication open and keep all of our patients updated as we try to navigate through this ever-changing situation. Many of you have reached out by phone, email or text, and social media to ask about the wellbeing of our staff members and our dentists. We are happy to report that all the staff in all of our Smile Centre loc...ations are healthy and spending time with their families or self-isolating as recommended. At this time, all elective procedures - including general dentistry and hygiene appointments - are being suspended for at least a few weeks. If you do have an appointment coming up, someone from the office will be in contact with you to reschedule. We look forward to seeing you back at the Smile Centre once were able to open our doors again. We will be adding extra time to accommodate the need that has been created by this unforeseen interruption; dont worry! Your health is important to us and we will work overtime to ensure all our patients are accommodated. Under the guidelines from the Ministry of Health and RCDSO, we must screen carefully and minimize patient contact, but we are accommodating emergency patients on a case-by-case basis. If you have a dental emergency, or think you may be experiencing symptoms that could become urgent, please dont hesitate to contact us. We are monitoring messages regularly; the easiest way to reach any of our clinic locations is via text message. A dental emergency consists of severe pain, swelling, uncontrolled bleeding or infection. If you think you are experiencing an emergency, please send us a detailed message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We have been working hard to find a way to help as many people as possible with minimal contact and still provide optimal care, so we are introducing virtual consultations with a dentist in order to be able to speak to you face-to-face. We are all in this together. Lets try and take advantage of the time we have together with family. Most of you are probably self-isolating, social distancing, quarantined, or working from home. This is a new reality for most of us and it comes with a unique set of challenges. One of the biggest challenges is keeping the kiddies (and ourselves) from becoming bored and going crazy. 5 Craft Ideas for Kids https://kinderart.com//sea/5-creative-activities-kids-can/ Once again, thank you so much for your understanding. We value your loyalty and the fact that you have chosen us for your care. We promise that when this is all over, we will help you to SMILE. Thank you, Your Smile Centre

Are you home now?

North York Smile Centre 22.10.2019

Dear Smile Centre Patients, As many of you may have heard, or seen on the news late last night, we have received a recommendation from the RCDSO (Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario) advising all dental offices in the province to immediately suspend all non-essential and elective dental procedures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The circumstances will be re-evaluated in April and revised as needed. Therefore, until further notice, we will be temporarily closing all of ...our clinics for routine procedures and dental hygiene appointments. With the exception of emergency treatment, we will be not accepting any appointment requests at this time. We are still available on the messenger feature on any one of our websites, and will be checking and returning voice calls as soon as possible. If you have an appointment scheduled in March, please consider it cancelled. We will be in touch as soon as possible to reschedule once we have a clearer idea of when business will return to normal. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we really felt that we needed to do our part to #flattenthecurve. If you have a dental emergency, please feel free to contact us on FB messenger or any one of our websites. Alternatively, you can call and leave a voicemail and we will get back to you as soon as we can. The fastest way to get a response would be through text message. We will schedule emergency appointments on an as needed individual basis. A dental emergency consists of pain, swelling or infection. If you think you are experiencing a dental emergency, please send us a detailed message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. I know it feels like we are sailing through uncharted waters. We just want you to know that we value you and your safety and the safety of our staff more than anything. We want to ask for your patience as we continue to adjust to a rapidly changing situation. Thank you once again for your understanding, Your Smile Centre Team
