This Remembrance Day, we honour those who served our country.

Dr. John T. Agate, Beamsville Dentist 05.11.2020

A Remembrance Day Message from Mayor Sandra Easton Remembrance Day provides us with an opportunity to acknowledge a debt, A debt paid on our behalf, by the brav...e men and women who were willing to sacrifice everything for a better future. On this day, it is our duty to bow our heads in sombre remembrance, to honour Canadians who paid the supreme sacrifice in the 2 great wars, in Korea, Afghanistan and many peace keeping missions. As the sound of the last post touches our ears, and the familiar words of Col. John McCrae’s historic poem In Flander’s Field, touches our hearts, our thoughts are rightly filled with sorrow for those we lost on foreign battlefields, be in on land, at sea or in the air. The contributions these Canadians made in these conflicts solidified our reputation as a nation that doesn’t look for fights, but will not shirk from a duty to fight tyranny and defend freedom and liberty for all. The freedoms, peace and prosperity we enjoy today is a privilege that was earned by those who served, and donated to us through their sacrifices. It is our duty to remember not only those who died, but also those who came home and helped build this great community, this province and country. They passed on values forged in the despair of war - selflessness, determination and a belief in the greater good. They believed their endeavours, ripe with peril, had a purpose for the generations that would follow them. What a great lesson for us all, who have been granted the privilege to live in this great country. It falls to us to continue to emulate the values forged by those who served and sacrificed. And make the future better for those who follow in our footsteps. To stand strong in the face of adversity, and let hope always win over fear. To quote Col. John McCrae To you from falling hands we throw The torch be yours to hold it high.

The health and safety of our patients, the public, and our dental team and their families, is our top priority in these challenging times. Returning to practice will happen in well-defined stages as directed by the RCDSO, our governing body and by the provincial government. We are busy preparing to return, but we must ensure that all guidelines and precautions can be followed and maintained. Until the required supplies and PPE are readily available, we will remain closed. Ho...pefully, that will not be for much longer. We are monitoring the phones and can advise in case of emergencies. We look forward to caring for our patients as soon as possible, with everyones safety our priority.
