This year on Remembrance Day we remember our friend, Cpl James Choi, and every other soldier who have lost their lives in service of Canada. Cpl Choi was killed just two weeks ago on a training exercise. Gone but not forgotten. We will be closed today in observance of the Federal holiday. We invite all of our customers and fans to join us for a moment of silence at 11 AM.

We’ve made some great progress with the 4th Gen ECU development. Various operation tables and triggers have been identified, and we will be able to begin performance testing shortly! #drtuned #drtunedracing

Hey folks! Does anyone have any connections in BOSCH Motorsport or Bosch USA? We’re trying to get some information on an alternate sensor with a higher operating range, but we just keep hitting gate keeper after gate keeper, and no one is able to directly get us the info we need or point us to a department who can. The end goal is to find a sensor that is a direct bolt on for boosted applications, so it’s no longer necessary to fabricate an awkward bracket and hope it stays s...ealed. Thanks! -Daniel

Some friends of ours blew their engine during a rally. Does anyone have a fully assembled 2.5L Duratec kicking around in the Utah/Colorado area? On top of our friends buying the engine, you’ll have some swag from us as a thank you. Let us know!!

Hey folks! We’re doing a fresh batch of stickers and I’m looking at doing some windshield banners, I just need some measurements of different windshields to know sizing and how much to curve the decal. I need the width, measuring from top corner to top corner. And then measure down from that line between corners, to the top of the windshield at the centre.... Ya’ll are smart and know what I mean, right?? I’d love to have measurements for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gen if possible. Stickers and these banners will be made available on the site. Thanks!! -Daniel

We know how much everyone likes seeing local tuning. This time we’re working on a fully bolted 1st Gen 2.3L. Intake, intake manifold, header, cat-back exhaust, and VTCS delete. The whole works. We originally tuned this car 5 years ago, did a retune 3 years ago, and now we’re back on it again to check everything over. Dyno graph before our latest work had it sitting around 150 whp, 138lb-ft. It’s hard to say what this particular dyno would have measured a fully stock 2.3 at, but we’ll see about getting some factory tune numbers as well. After some maintenance and another checkup we’ll let you know where it sits! #drtuned

Hey folks! Really great deal on some Mazda3 dampers for anyone local to us. Contact our friends at Dales Auto Service.

If you're local to us and require any sort of automotive work, Dales Auto Service is offering discounts and other benefits to their customers during this time. Dales Auto was one of the first companies to partner with us when we first started racing, an initiative on their part that still surprises me to this day. They have continually demonstrated themselves to be one of the most honest, caring, and quality shops we have interacted with. They remain to be the only shop we entrust our personal vehicles and our family's vehicles' repairs. -Daniel

There's been a lot of talk lately about the Skyactiv engine's ability to make adjustments on the fly and over a long term learning curve. YES the Skyactiv engine has some pretty incredible self-adjustment abilities. It can add ignition timing, compensate fuel ratios with trims up to +/-20% and more. It's an amazing ECU. What it doesn't do, is completely overhaul 15+ unique tables, and reset its baseline of adjustment to allow even further self calibration. That would be what ...our custom Skyactiv tuning is able to do. Vehicles that have been running the exact same setup for years, plenty of time for the ECU to self-calibrate, are able to see significant gains and improvements over their OEM tune. Recent comment from a current, work in progress, customer: "I gotta admit, I wasn't sure what to expect from this tuning process. I didn't have super high expectations because this is a NA 4cyl, but you have far and above surpassed what I expected, and it gets noticeably better with each revision. Power feels so much smoother than stock, and there is a very noticeable increase in power overall. I'm quite impressed, thank you! " As always, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out.

With the current global context of COVID-19, we want to assure all of our remote tuning customers that we are taking every precaution to mitigate viral transmission to our customers. Before downloading each datalog to create a new revision, The DRTuned Racing employee has been instructed to wash his hands thoroughly and disinfect his work station as needed. Viruses distributed via email have a very high rate of infection, and can often be fatal to the host computer. Do your part and help mitigate the spread of viruses. Thank you. #drtuned
