Meet Eva Papp! Eva is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with over 20 years of experience in geotechnical and inspection and testing services. Eva began her engineering career in 1989 when she joined MOL Hungarian Oil and Natural Gas Exploration and Production Company as a reservoir geologist and later as a project analyst. When she moved to Canada in 1995 and joined Shaheen & Peaker Limited (later Coffey Geotechnics Inc.) Consulting Engineers. Eva has managed numerous... projects for all level of municipalities and cities including Cambridge, Brantford, St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Burlington, Oakville, Town of Fort Erie, City of Guelph, Region of Halton and the Region of Waterloo, as well as many residential subdivisions. She possesses many years of experience in geotechnical, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials, bedrock and environmental investigations. Eva is the currently the manager of the DS Cambridge Office. In this role, she is involved in marketing, client liaison, training, supervision of technical staff and responsible for preparing, assigning, reviewing and controlling issuance of technical output. In her spare time, Eva enjoys any minute she can spend with her children, travelling, hiking, foraging and pottery.

Meet Martin Gedeon! Martin is a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) and a Qualified Person (QP) under O.Reg. 153/04 with over 24 years of experience as an environmental and hydrogeological consultant in the areas of groundwater and soil investigations and monitoring, hydrogeological investigations, landfill investigations, groundwater supply assessments, environmental site assessments, and remediation. ... Martin has significant experience in physical and contaminant hydrogeology across Canada and overseas. Martin has prepared hydrogeological and environmental reports in support of property acquisitions, design, construction, and permitting requirements for the private sector, municipal, regional and provincial jurisdictions. Martin is vice president at DS and manages the environmental and hydrogeological services group consisting of hydrogeologists, engineers, environmental scientists, field technicians, and ecologists. In his spare time, Martin enjoys travelling, caving, hiking and camping.

Meet Alka Sangar! Alka is one of the co-founders of DS Consultants Ltd. She is also a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and Senior Geotechnical Engineer with over 18 years of experience. Not only does she manager DS’s Geotechnical Department, she also has extensive geotechnical experience in a large number of projects, including highways, railways, buildings, bridges and roads, municipal infrastructures and slope stability investigations. In recent years, Alka has been the senior geotechnical engineer of a number of major projects in Southern Ontario, including Expansion of Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, major high-rise buildings in Toronto, Widening of Major Mackenzie Drive in Vaughan, Rossland Road Widening in Ajax and Metrolinx/TTC projects in Toronto area.

Meet our President! Blaine Dobson, P. Geo., is the President of DS Consultants Ltd. He co-founded DS in 2017. Blaine oversees the projects from the initial due diligence, through the earthworks stage to the finished end product and will provide clients with all necessary assistance throughout the duration.
