Wonderful ideas & benefits of conifers. Love the calming feeling after a walk in the Forest I started an oil infusion of black spruce that will be used in the Forest Bathing salt soak that I’m preparing this week. http://ow.ly/LNld50CLZwT
I have been studying herbs for the past two years at Wild Rose College. Today I am making a Usnea tincture from herb that was collected yesterday near Barrhead. I’m making this one for an antiviral throat spray.
Happy Autumn Equinox!! A time for harvest, reflection and grounding ourselves in the beautiful colours of nature. As the air cools, I start to crave warming homemade soups with yummy root vegetables and chai tea. Chai tea recipe ... Simmer a few green cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, fennel seeds and a few whole cloves in a pot of water on the stove for about 10 minutes. Turn off the burner and add some loose black tea leaves, let steep for a few more minutes, strain. Sweeten with honey and milk & enjoy. You can find all of these ingredients at the bulk barn. Diffuse a sweet and spicy blend of 4 drops of sweet orange essential oil with 1 drop of cinnamon leaf.
