Old-growth forests are one of our best climate allies. They store carbon, provide clean air and drinking water, and protect communities from natural disasters. The least we can do is to protect this gift that provides all these benefits for FREE.
Great job India. Less pollution translates to a healthier society. And hopefully cheaper energy rates will be passed on to the utility customers.
Another utility company shifting to renewables because of its clear benefits over non-renewables. https://www.pacificorp.com//2019-draft-irp-increased-renew
Taking a stand to protect our surround and the future.
May I add that aside from reduced fuel costs, maintenance costs are generally lower for electric vehicles (EV). Since switching from an Internal Combustion Engine(ICE) to full electric 1.5 years ago and putting 21,000 Km, the only maintenance to the EV is tire rotation and fluid replacement for wipers and what not. No oil change, timing belt, and all other usual ICE maintenance items. Moreover, no fume smell in the house when the garage door is closed too soon. ... (And EVs are so quiet too)
It's happening in Vancouver (and soon in Victoria) ... Another great example of saving money, improving health through the elimination of diesel fumes and taking care of our planet. "Each bus is expected to reduce 100 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and save $40,000 in fuel costs per year compared to a conventional diesel bus"... https://www.cbc.ca//battery-electric-buses-hit-roads-in-me

"Why do people tune out? Why do people switch channels when another gloom and doom climate change story comes on, piling problem upon problem? It is very hard to face this kind of dramatic existential threat and feel like you have no agency. If you look at the whole mosaic of climate solutions, it becomes really clear that there's footholds of action for every individual or institution." - Katharine Wilkenson, Senior Writer at Project Drawdown... Just choose a solution in Project Drawdown that resonates with you to start with and the solutions presented already exists. Some are really simple like Reduced Food Waste - this can be done at the individual, institutional, or local goverment (bylaws) level.

Brilliant idea - Charge your e-car from cheap solar during sunny days and return excess energy back to the grid during peak utility demand at night. Depending on your locale, supply and demand will work in your favor.
Every small action counts
Great documentary - skip to 32:28 if you're short on time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCVQdr9QFwY
Happy Mother's Day to all moms including the other species like the Mama Bear below. Let us make sure that our actions will sustain them.

Massively reduce CO2 emissions by decarbozining our economies + drawing down existing C02 through conservation/reforestation = sustainable future, clean air, better health for all of us.
