EOM is taking on students! The second student, Pascale, is a senior student with Grace and Marie-Eve starting February 15th 2021. Here is her short bio: "Hello, my name is Pascale (she/her). I am in my fourth and last year of midwifery training at Laurentian University. I am thrilled to be joining East Ottawa Midwives to complete my senior year placement. Before pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a midwife, I completed a BA in Arts and worked as a strategic communication ...advisor for twenty -five years. I am passionate about social justice, safe access to care and empowering prenatal care for all families and particularly marginalized families. In my free time, I volunteer as a doula to marginalised young families and to new immigrants and do a fair amount of community work to empower Black and racialized communities. When I am not studying or learning to catch babies, I love to read, travel and host diner gatherings for my extended family. I am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to learn from you and with you. I look forward to meeting you. I thank you very much to allow me to accompany you in your journey. I can offer services in French, English and Haitian Creole.
