This Arctic fox cub will spend his life in this cage. He will be electrocuted and killed. His fur will be used for key rings, neck, hood trim and scarves etc. Your fur trim means a lifetime of misery for him. Please don't buy fur

(From Our Friends at Kalein Centre) Dear Friends: Last Fall, many of you either attended one or more of the Death Cafes here in Nelson at Kalein Centre, or expressed an interest. Death Cafe is part of an international movement started in 2011, which now has over 500 registered Cafes around the world.... As the founder saw it, Western society has long outsourced discussions about death to doctors, nurses, priests and undertakers. The result is that we have lost control of one of the most significant events we ever have to face. (www.deathcafe.com) Kalein Hospice Society is delighted to offer a series of three more Cafes this Spring on Wednesdays: March 30, April 27 & May 25. We will inspire each other, and co-create, together, a warm and respectful space, in which we can explore the many dimensions of what death is for us. We would like to invite you into a living conversation, a dialogue, an exploration, and a discovery, where we can experience each other both as students and teachers. Perhaps by slowing down and inviting a deeper listening, we might find ourselves in uncharted territory, and support one another to find the courage to stay present to tenderness, heartbreak, deep love, fear and gratitude, that are all part of the mystery of life. Reservations for a seat at each cafe will be limited to 25 people, so please register early. Confirmations with additional details and information will be emailed to all registrants. On March 30th Kalein welcomes Lori Simposon; mother of a 17 year old daughter who died unexpectedly in her sleep; Lori who has traveled through the loss and grief, will share with us some of her experience and wisdom from that dark night. In gratitude for all of life, Dr. Rosalyn Grady, Counselor and Funeral Celebrant Kim Bater, Executive Director, Kalein Centre To reserve your seat at the Death Cafe, please register online: REGISTRATION FORM More information: Email: [email protected] Call:250.352.3331 Visit: kaleinhospice.com
