Valued & respected clients, As the province moves into code red, physiotherapy clinics fall under essential services as regulated health professionals, and can continue to be open following the same protocols that have been in place. I am exponentially grateful for this. As physiotherapists, we have professional guidelines we adhere to from The College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba and are required to follow The Shared Heath Guidelines for providing an essential medi...cal service during the pandemic. If our guidelines change or a clinic closure is required, based on government recommendations you will be notified immediately. What physiotherapy looks like at Element during the pandemic: Screening clients at the time of booking and on the day of their appointment using the Shared Health Covid-19 Screening Tool prior to attending. https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/screening-tool. Please call the clinic when arriving outside, (5 min early) as time allocated between clients for cleaning and to prevent over-lap. Masks are mandatory indoors (2 layered cotton masks with a filter or a surgical/procedural mask). https://www.who.int//advice-fo/when-and-how-to-use-mask https://www.canada.ca//about-non-medical-masks-face-coveri Cleaning with a government approved disinfectant agent, hand sanitizer available and hand washing stations. Physiotherapists are still required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE): protective eyewear, a medical grade surgical/procedural masks, along with meticulous hang hygiene. If you are currently scheduled for an appointment you may: still attend in person if YOU AND MEMBERS OF YOUR HOUSEHOLD are well based on the Shared Health Covid-19 Tool the day of your appointment. Rescheduling or switching to a virtual appointment are options. Direct billing available and contactless payment options. Thank you for you doing your part to keep our community safe!
