New practitioner highlight! Dr. Matt Pobihushchy (pronounced Pobba-hoosch-key...I think...Don't worrry, we can't say it either!) Matt was born and raised in Red Deer, where he began his post-secondary career at Red Deer College before moving on to the University of Alberta to complete his degree. After taking a hiatus from academia to travel to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand, Matt resumed his pursuit for higher education, enrolling in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at the University of Western States where he has been studying for the past 3 years. So a few weeks ago marked the end of our practicum students. Our final one, Jessie, has officially graduated with her Kinesiology degree! She did a great job during her time as our student, helping patients do their rehab and building presentations. Luckily she is sticking around working the front desk, so you might still see her *smiling under her mask* face helping in the rehab area!

I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience my unexpected time out of the office has caused my patient's. I promise I have not contracted anything other than a common cold (I was tested), however I felt it best I stay home away from everyone so as not to spread anything to my patients and coworkers. I am doing well and on the mend nicely! I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding when dealing with our staff dealing with the situation of rescheduling and rebooking. Starting July 15, in line with guidelines from AHS, we are strongly recommending all patients over the age of 2 wear masks while in the clinic and during appointments. Due to the close nature of the work done at our clinic, we feel it is in the best interest for the safety of our staff and patients if everyone is masked. We want to thank you in advance for understanding and cooperating with this.

How many hockey parents/coaches would be interested in doing pre-season baseline concussion testing this fall at a reduced price?

Hey everyone. If the clinic were to hold dedicated classes for rehab, would that be of interest to people? These classes could/would include going over exercises given, foam rolling and stretching. Also, would there be interest if there were dedicated neurology rehab sessions?

We are here for the start of summer and the beautiful weather this May long has brought, even if we cant do the things we normally would do. Usually Dr Riley and his wife would be relaxing post Woodys run on the Sunday of May long, but thanks to COVID, are instead spending the weekend relaxing with their kiddos. We hope this post find you and your family healthy and happy. Reminder that we are closed Monday and will be back to serve you all bright and early Tuesday at 9am.

For those of you wondering about massage, this is a message that was sent out to a massage therapist we know. We will keep you advised as we know more information. Please note we are NOT booking for June 19th yet. This is merely an information update.

Happy Mothers Day to all of the mothers we see come through our doors every day. We hope you have been spoiled by your families on this Mothers Day.

We made it to Friday! Through technical glitches (all resolved) and new practices to get used to , it may not have always been pretty or as smooth of an operation as we have been accustom to, but we survived the first week back open and serving patients. We wanted to give a quick shout out to our front staff who have had to get used to a new normal. If you are in dont forget to give them an extra thank you as they are a crucial part in keeping us all healthy and safe these days.

Oh bother. Just like closing the clinic was unprecedented... so is trying to start is up with less than 24h notice after 6 weeks off. Call it Monday morning or dusting off the cobwebs, but it has taken longer than anticipated to get going. We are SO sorry and everything should be ironed out in the next few hours. If you have tried calling and didnt get through (thank you!!). You should be able to get through anytime, but we will also update Facebook as soon as we know things are back up and running. Thank you again for all of your continued patience - we truly only found out yesterday afternoon this was even possible, and we know everyone has been highly anticipating this day. You are all the best patients around!

Please do not message the Facebook page for appointment bookings! We have people in the office currently able to take your phone calls. Please call 403 986 1269 for your appointment. Please also be aware that individual practitioners WILL NOT be booking appointments from now on, so only call the office to schedule.

We are thrilled to announce we are able to open our doors on Monday May 4th for chiropractic treatment only (for the time being). Things will look differently for the next little while with new guidelines in place, so thank you for your continued patience. Please feel free to call in and book an appointment anytime after 9am tomorrow morning. More details to come as we solidify them.

We are sure you have all seen the update from the Alberta Government last night. We are still waiting on information from our governing bodies to determine the guidelines necessary to reopen our doors to all of our wonderful patients. We will keep you updated as that information comes for chiropractors, massage therapists and naturopaths. It is important to remember that it will potentially take a couple of days to ensure we can properly comply with all guidelines once we have been given them. Good morning! As of Friday March 27th, 2020 the Alberta Government has mandated all close contact business (such as chiropractic and massage) to close, aside from providing urgent and emergency care. We want to make sure we can still help those patients who require it. Dr Riley is set up to provide telehealth care and has already commenced helping patients in this capacity.
