My team and I want to sincerely thank all of you for your undying support. Please know that we are working as hard as possible to keep Ellen's Place, customers, and community come out stronger than ever. As Ellen's Place is a brand new registered business entity, we are not eligible for any government programs available to d...ate. My team and I will continue to monitor government programs. Today, I am very excited to announce another easy way that you can additionally support Ellen's Place. Yesterday in his news briefing, Mayor John Tory announced an innovative program designed to help small businesses across the city through a donation-based program. The associated website is called Distantly.ca. Distantly is designed with a goal to help small businesses "From a Distance". It is a simple, easy to use platform that is designed to allow you to donate to the businesses you care about. The end goal is to help them survive these extremely challenging times and be able to open when our streets and communities return to normal. Ellen's Place was very excited to be one of the first businesses on this platform and after only one day after this announcement, over 30 additional businesses have signed up. A boodle fight is a traditional Filipino family dinner eaten kamayan style (with your hands). Food is placed on banana leaves in the middle of the table and enjoyed by the whole family! With current conditions, we suggest setting up the table using the disposable gloves, and then using cutlery for your own meal.... Each kit comes with six different dishes (spring rolls, chicken wings, bbq pork sticks, garlic rice, pancit bihon, and mango salad) and instructions on how to do it yourself at home.
