Have you seen Carlton the cat? The famous feline, known for wandering the halls at Saint Mary's University, hasn't been seen since before Easter, according to campus security. Here's more about Carlton from when CBC Nova Scotia met up with him in 2018.

Meet Beautiful Bella everyone! Bella is a 6 year old border collie, valley bull dog mix breed girl and is around 65 lbs. This girl is very fun and playful, and ...she just loves her toys and playing fetch! She is a very sweet and cuddly girl who would love to have a new family to snuggle down with. She is definitely a man's dog though, and will bond most with the man in the home. Bella will need a harness for walking, as she is a strong puller, and the harness really helps. She is really not fond of yelling and loud noises, so a quieter rural home would be best for this girl. She is not good with children and other pets. She can be a resource guarder. She will need an experienced dog handler who knows how to give her proper guidance on this and other issues she has been having. Bella had a trauma in her life 2 years ago and has been showing some negative behaviour patterns since then, we strongly believe due to this trauma. We think she needs a reset in a new environment to help her get over some of these issues. As the story is very personal to the family who had her before, and sensitive, we will disclose her full history only to the best possible applicants for her. She will need a home with people experienced with dogs and who understands a good bit about dog psychology, so that they know how to help her get over this. Bella will need to be spayed, but we are hoping to get her into a foster to adopt situation so that she can be spayed while in her new home, instead of while in boarding. We will cover this cost and her adoption can be made final after she recovers. She will need a special diet her whole life as she has pancreatitis, and this is how it is managed. Her adopters would need to be ok with a pricier diet for her. We would love to help sweet Bella find the perfect place to spend the rest of her life, living life just as it should be for a dog. She may be older, but she is so much fun to have around, and is going to fill the empty space in someone's heart and home so beautifully once settled! We just know it! <3 Please let us know if you are interested in Beautiful Bella, and let's chat about her first to see if she may be a match for you. Please send us a message to inquire.

It's that time again and the clock is ticking down! The plane that can carry 4 more dogs to freedom, into our care here at the rescue, leaves Friday from Egypt ...and Buddy would really like to be on it but he needs your help. Buddy was rescued from a pet store in Egypt where he would have had to spend his life cooped up in a cage being used as a stud to satisfy the greed of his captors. He is very scared in a shelter environment and desperately clings to any human hoping they'll get him out of there. How can we let him down? We need to raise $400 to make his wish come true before the plane leaves. We understand that it is not always possible to donate, but even a share can help him. No amount is too small and every action matters. Donate Online: https://www.salcars.ca/donate Paypal [email protected] E-transfer [email protected] Please use the password "rescue" for etransfers.
