Guys we had our first elopement *well it was a mini wedding! But you get the gist!* of the season and we started with a bang! (Read: torrential downpours and thunder and lighting!) It seems like a lot of planning is going on out there! We've been chatting with so many people who are looking for the best location for an outdoor wedding in Nova Scotia. I would love to hear yours! I have some favorites, but would love to know yours! Then we'll publish our findings in a blog post to help others with their planning too! This shot was at the amazing Oceanstone Seaside Resort which admittedly is at the top of our list! It's in HRM and epicly beautiful with superb service to boot! Our Amazing JP Mary Hewitt, Justice of the Peace did a cool (COLD) Valentines Elopement at the beach! Brave Souls out there!!! But the sky was bright and hearts were full as they exchanged intimate vows by the ocean! If you were going to elope where would you want to be? (you don't have to be planning to elope! There is a reason we started this little co. And this pretty much sums it up. These two had been planning a wedding and when plans changed they decided they wanted to get married before some of their favorite people went back out west. t They emailed us Monday night (just as I was getting ready for bed) and Tuesday at 6 we met to get them married! We made sure they knew what they needed (well done Mary Hewitt, Justice of the Peace) and I helped with the timeline, location... and of course, photography! Hey! Wanted to take a moment and say WELCOME and thanks for the follow! We are so excited you are here! And that we have been hearing from some of you already! Taking a minute to introduce our girl Mary Hewitt, Justice of the Peace! She is passionate about creating a special personalized ceremonies for all of her couples (and of course the ones over here Elope Nova Scotia too!)... Want to hear some random facts on Mary? I quizzed her and think these are awesome!!! 1- I grew up on a sheep farm. "Mary had a little lamb" jokes my whole life! But I'm grateful for it. Farming taught me a lot about life and the importance of looking after each other and the earth. 2 - I have 2 dogs; one white and one black and opposites in a million other ways. Reminding daily about balance... yin and yang. 3 - I live in Vancouver for 17 years. East Coast born and raised. Most of my 20's and 30's in BC. My heart lives on both coasts and I won't change it. Andrew + Becky had their mini wedding at the Courtyard Marriott in downtown Halifax @cymarriotthfx (did you know they have a dome suite on the top floor with vaulted ceilings and room with tall beautiful windows! It was a perfect location for a winter wedding. They chose to celebrate with their closest friends and family, and had a little toast with bubbly and a cute little occasion cake from @layershalifax !
