Whenever you need to be held, God is there. God is the community around us, supporting, loving and caring for the least among us. As we start Holy Week, let us reflect on the ways that we support the least among us.

We recognize this day because there is still much work to be done. Let us together disassemble the the structures that support white supremacy and allow Love to reign supreme in our lives.

We're marking a year since everything changed. Sometimes we want to look backwards and dream of a better time. We also look forward to when things will be better. For now, here we are. Together. We hosted a concert by The Well Pennies, Bryan and Sarah Vanderpool, in 2019. This recent music video of theirs fits the tenor of our times right now. It was filmed in New York City by Michael Vanderpool (younger brother of Bryan) and produced by his boyfriend Kyle Gardner (one of t...he featured dancers). As the Well Pennies wrote in their original post, "We know everyone has been feeling a bit stressed out over the past few decades...so we hope this provides you with some comfort, if even for a moment We love you all." The sympathy of the congregation is with the family of Paul Amy. With his family by his side, Paul Conrad Amy peacefully entered into God’s care on Wednesday, November 18th 2020. Beloved husband and best friend to Marion (Devitt) for 60 years. Paul is survived by his sisters Joan (Bruce) Woods and Mary Strome. A full list of his family may be found in his obituary at Erb & Good.... Paul was known as a handyman and a jack of all trades who could fix almost anything and enjoyed passing on his knowledge along to his daughters and grandchildren. Paul was a man of deep faith and was a devoted member of Emmanuel United Church in Waterloo and served as Trustee and Board Member for many years. In Paul’s spirit, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the KW Seniors Day Program or Emmanuel United Church.

I have several questions for our minister. Next year I would like to see a T-Shirt Cannon used for socks during the sock throw... also where are the bears?
