What NOT to do during HUNGRY GHOST MONTH: Start a project, start construction, renovate or dig the ground. Close business transactions, buy a new home (or move to a new home).... Have a major operation. Get married. Go on a long trip. Stay out late.

During HUNGRY GHOST MONTH it is a good idea to bring in YANG energy (bright, happy energy) into your home and to wear bright colors. Parents usually advise their children not to stay out late at night all through the month of the Hungry Ghost. In business, this the period to avoid closing of deals particularly new investments. As much as possible, there should be no moving or digging during this time.

This year, the Hungry Ghost period starts from August 19th and ends September 16th in the 7th month of the Lunar Calendar. The actual day falls on 2nd September 2020. Great merit and good fortune is attained by providing food offerings and prayers to ancestors, gods, and hungry spirits.

September is Hungry Ghost month! This year, HUNGRY GHOST MONTH coincides with the Feng Shui chart that brings the 5-yellow star together with the illness star into the south of the grid. This means danger, particularly illness so taking extra precautions in the SOUTH is very important. Those residing in this part of the home need to be extra careful, or better yet, move to another sector for this month. Keep this sector quiet no loud noise, wind chimes, stereos or enterta...ining here. Do not have open fires or bright lights here, as Fire element energy will fuel the illness energies.
