One of our favourite things about working with children is the things that come out of their mouths. We really should start writing them down!!

There really is nothing better than seeing the world through the eyes of a child. We could all use some of this today.

Our next Breastfeeding Class is happening Thursday, August 13th from 6-8pm. This fun, engaging and interactive class will be held as a small in person group, wi...th physical distancing and Covid precautions in place. If you’re planning to breastfeed, you won’t want to miss this opportunity to learn everything you need to know (even things you don’t know you need to know!) to get the best start possible and help make those early days of parenthood go a little more smoothly. The timing of this class is perfect for expectant parents who are due between August and mid-October. Register online for this class at www.foundationsbirthservices.ca

Our team is enjoying some well earned rest & relax time this week. The clinic will be closed from August 3rd to the 7th. During this time we hope you have the opportunity to spend some time outdoors with family & friends. If you require urgent care while we are off, the great Doctors at @tworiverschiropractic are able to help! Thank you Dr. Kim & Dr. Myron.

You may have noticed that Stephanie has not returned to the office since we opened back up. As she has young children, she will be staying home with her kiddo's to help manage their requirements with school. We will miss her and hope that in the future there will be an opportunity for her to return to the clinic. In the mean time.... we are hiring! If you know someone who would be an excellent fit to join our team, please share this ad. :) ca.indeed.com/rc/clk

These two!!!! It had been 7 weeks of alternating shifts in the clinic & working from home / or on Zoom. Today, the team was finally together again & it was sooooooo great! Chantel & Kim were rock stars today (as always). They handled it all with smiles on their faces.... all the changes, all the calls, all the screening questions, etc, etc, etc. Thankful to have them on our team!! #workfriends #workfamily #thankyou #jointhem #wewillbehiringsoon #happytobeback

This is the look of Joy, excitement, anticipation.... all the feelings. We can finally say Yes more than we say No. If we cancelled your appointment due to previous circumstances you can expect a call today to reschedule your appointment. Things will certainly not be the same in the clinic. There are no reception chairs & the children’s play area has been removed, there are social distancing dots on the floor, cleaning protocols are on steroids, Covid19 screening will be occurring before all visits, etc, etc, etc.... but the one thing that remains the same.... we love our jobs, we love our community of patients & we look very forward to seeing you soon.

Today's episode of "Uncle Sid Reads" is definitely a fan favorite in the clinic, 'The Dinosaur who lost his Roar' . Thank you so much Sidney Shapira for sharing your love of reading!

Family First Chiropractic 05.03.2020

Gather the kids around for storey time. Today, Uncle Sidney shares one of the books from the clinic that has become a favourite! Thank you Sidney.

Family First Chiropractic 20.02.2020

Gather all the kids around for Episode 23 of "Uncle Sid Reads...". Today, He take a second dive into the wordy world of nursery rhymes. He believes that all children should be exposed to nursery rhymes, both as infants and toddlers, and again in Kindergarten and Grade 1, for sure. Nursery rhymes can help to develop a child's sense of rhythm and their awareness of rhyme. Nursery rhymes are great for skipping games and for vocabulary development. What's more, they are just fun. While yesterday's nursery rhymes were around the theme of food, today's collection, "Over the hills and far away", focuses on rhymes about far away places and travel. Nursery rhymes are said to have been created to pass political messages, or to mock the royalty. That's why even adults can gain new understandings by revisiting nursery rhymes. Without further ado....

I’ve had a lot of questions about what is happening with midwifery & birth in our province. Beckie Wood did a great job on CTV representing the Manitoba Midwifery Association sharing info about the current situation.
