I’d like to welcome my newest client, Gabe! Gabe stood like an absolute statue for his initial assessment the other day, and I cannot wait to get started on him. DD again here - and cold weather doesn’t hold me back either! Originally I began working on this mare’s neck because it was in moderate pain from consistent use of hay nets, but now that she’s all fixed she still demands I do at least a few minutes on her neck- her absolute favourite part Hay nets can be great for impatient horses who get frustrated, work themselves up, and/or potentially hurt themselves when they run out of hay. However the neck of a horse was biologically designed to eat hay from the ground, and muscles tire easily from the constant pulling motion of gathering hay out of the net at eye/chest level where most hay nets are tied. Short-term use does not usually have much of an effect, but long-term use sure does!
