An upcycling project coming soon. I’m devoting some time to use up lots of bits and pieces that are cluttering up my sewing space. Stay tuned for the results
Finally made a memory bear. I’ve been asked to make a few over the years and this one is the first one that got made. Finished just before Christmas for a client out of a newborn sleeper.

Up until now I have been making the surgical style masks. I will continue to do so but I also want to make the more fitted style as long as I can make them more breathable! They are cute but intense to wear. Getting back to work this week making more masks and exploring fabric and designs.
Well that’s it for 2020’s grad season! Thank you to all my customers! Especially everyone who wore a mask to their fittings Well that’s it for 2020’s grad season! Thank you to all my customers! Especially everyone who wore a mask to their fittings
I’ve decided that I need to speak up as a business owner for #Blacklivesmatter. This is about human rights after all and needs to be said again and again until the message is absorbed. I’m so saddened by posts I see about those who think it is not an issue that affects us in Canada, Manitoba or our small town of Ste Anne. I chose this post to share as the message is positive and contagious in a good way. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10158180550522349&set=a.10150302834702349&type=3

The last batch of masks. This is by far more masks than I ever dreamed that I would ever make in my lifetime. This marks over 200 masks that I have made from my stash of fabric in exchange of a donation. I’m happy to have found a use for this cotton. The next batch masks will be $10 each.
When Manitoba allows business to open and I’m okay’d to do fittings, I will require all who enter my house to wear a mask. If you do not have one I can give you one to pick up and bring home to wash before your appointment. As most of my clients already know I suffered a heart attack October 2018 and have asthma. I cannot catch this virus. Thank you for your participating in wearing a mask.
I’m working on a lined version of the original dust masks I’ve been using to sew with for the past few years. This one is a larger mask intended for men, made of knit cotton with spandex and a polyester/spandex lining. I’m Using the polyester lining because two layers of the cotton were so thick that it was impossible to breathe! The lining is open to add a filter.
Fabric masks. I have 10 left from this batch. Many of you are asking how much I’m selling them for. It feels wrong to set a price for these at this time. I will accept donations however. I will suggest a minimum of $1 per mask. I know some people are selling them at $10 each I think that is a reasonable price for when the world gets back to work. I can make a few for free but I cannot make 100’s for free either. PM me if you would like a couple. Please wash them before usin...g. They have a slot to add a pipe cleaner to form around the nose and a pocket on the inside to add a filter of your choice. I use tshirt fabric to make a tie so no elastic. If you don’t want to wear it that way and want loops around your ears simply cut the ties and make loops by knitting them up. These are not for children as they have ties. Finally I will let you be the judge of what is safe and do your research! *located outside Winnipeg in Ste Anne Manitoba. * I have asthma and heart disease. I will not be answering the door to hand them to you. I will be leaving them on the doorknob in a bag. I might come outside to say hi at 6 feet away or more See more
I’m working on the next batch of masks. Three quarters of these already have homes to go to...
