Merry Christmas to our EMA friends and family! There is lots to be grateful for and when I think about that, the first thing that comes to mind is the people in our lives. . I'm so thankful that we get to come together in our shared passion of martial arts and help change people's lives and the community of Chilliwack for the better. . **Update: Our new MLA Kelli Paddon called me just now and we spoke about my concerns. She said she would take these concerns into her meeting tomorrow with public health. I just want to say how much I appreciate her calling and hearing me out. Lots of respect for her for doing that. Original post: It appears that our government is completely incompetent. Picture #1 Is the updated health order on Thursday. This says that we can stay open while public health is updating the ...guidelines. Picture #2 is late Monday night where they reverse course and say we now have to close until guidelines are created. . The major problem with this is they've had more than two weeks to create new guidelines and still don't have them posted. And on top of that, they have not informed any of the frontline public health staff who is working with us to implement these imaginary guidelines. . Poor leadership, horrible communication, and incompetence are the nice words that come to my mind. But believe me there's plenty of words floating around in my mind that aren't appropriate for Facebook. . Let me be clear that our policies and procedures are stronger than schools and restaurants. This is ridiculous that our industry is being targeted again. . Is the new NDP government working at all or are they just hiding behind Bonnie Henry's dictates? How she can go on TV on a Thursday and allow us to open and then close us again on Monday is beyond me. . If someone can tag our local NDP representatives Dan Coulter and Kelli Paddon that would be great. It would be nice to know if they are doing anything to stand up for their local businesses. . Polar Bear Swim today with Chris McRae. Oh boy that was cold lol Very refreshing though and felt great after. The lake was actually 7 degrees Celsius and the air temperature was 6 degrees Celsius. Good start to the day!

Back online tonight for classes! We have submitted our new Covid plan to Fraser Health this morning. Early feedback was our plan was the most comprehensive and detailed plan they had seen so far which I think is really positive! . So now just waiting on more details when we can reopen. Will it be after the two weeks and then get approval or will we be able to re-open with approval some time this week? .... We are hoping to open ASAP! *Help please* Does anyone have a wavemaster like this or similar at home and can sell it to me please? I need a few more at the gym when we can reopen. Actually I need 6 more, that would be ideal. Thanks so much!
