The Ring Of Fire: A Johnny Cash Experience 25.11.2020

Announcements We are so excited to announce a major change to our band! Help us welcome our new Band Manager Tony Bendel to the team! Tony is a 30+ year Ordinary Member, the 1st Vice President of Lord Elgin Br#41, and A7 Zone Public Relations Officer. He is the perfect fit for our mission with the Legion Support Tour!... As most of you know, we have dedicated all performance dates to be held at Royal Canadian Legion branches. Going further, for private/nonpublic events we build in a donation fee to the price of our performance so we can donate to the nearest local legion to that private event. The Royal Canadian Legion needs help to replenish the membership count that has been dwindling down because of our WWII Veterans passing on. The lifeblood of the organization are the legion members and from 2006 to 2018 at least 64 branches have had to close their doors because of the lack of new membership. With Covid19, it is estimated that 1 in 10 legion branches will face permanent closure. This means that 124 of the 1381 branches the future looks dim. BUT time is still on our side IF we band together to save our Legions. Our mission is to support the RCL by recruiting as many new members as possible. As our elders pass, we have to keep the balance with the next generation to join or another door may close. The Ring Of Fire: A Johnny Cash Experience musicians and band manager are all proud members, and we ask that you please visit your LOCAL branch to join as well. We are pleading to our fans of this page to consider joining a Royal Canadian Legion branch in your neighbourhood as soon as possible. You don't need to have military background, and every Canadian Citizen is welcome. We offer a FREE show to the Legion and because of the financial turmoil that COVID19 has brought to our branches, we are offering to pay the rental fee of the Legion hall as well. If you want us to come to your branch, contact us and we'll make sure it happens. To adhere to the Social Distancing guidelines we will perform outdoor/drive in shows once we get past some of the current restrictions placed by our government. You can check out our website www.experiencecash.com to see our Legion tour dates and look for the city nearest you!

Absolutely devastating. Although our mission and touring has come to a complete standstill, our work is never done. It is our duty as Canadians to do what we can in the meantime to keep these doors open for the ones who need it the most. We owe it to our veterans. See what it is you can do for your local legion, they're in dire need of help from all of us. -Kitty

Today, more than every other day we unite as Canadians to remember our bravest men and women who gave us our freedom. Canada is the best country on earth because of our Veterans so we need to ALWAYS show our gratitude and respect. There are less than 30,000 Canadian WWII veterans with us today. There are 37.7 million FREE Canadian citizens. That means we have the power and frankly, the obligation to help ALL veterans including our modern era Veterans get the assistance t...hey need and surely deserve. Our Legion Support Tour came to a screeching halt because of Covid19 and since March 2020, we have felt helpless to the cause. I can't describe the pain and frustration that brings me and the boys but this will eventually get better and we'll return to the Royal Canadian Legion stages across our country and pick up right where we left off. Become a member of your local Legion branch. Everytime you see a poppy fund donation box, please contribute! We'll always remember their sacrifice. We will always fight for their benefit. We are Canadians. -Andy Vickers

What's your most memorable moment seeing us live? - Sun City Kitty

This has got to be one of the most powerful photographs I have ever seen. Above is a battalion of the Cameron Highlanders in 1914, prior to being despatched to ...the front line; below is the same battalion upon their return in 1918 after the armistice. On the eve of the centennial anniversary of the armistice I would like to remember the millions of souls who gave their lives defending our shores and preserving our freedom, and to those who survived the unimaginable horrors. Lest we forget. See more
