Working on our collection of Presenter badges on this beautiful Sunday :) #Presentation #Presenting #Indigenous #Conferences
Had a great time at Niagara College yesterday talking about Indigenous Tourism! We spoke for two hours and made some really great human connections with some of the students! Can't wait to go back! Up next for us is the Ontario School Counsellors Association Conference in Toronto this weekend!
Our calendar has been filling up and yet we were still able to raise and donate $700 to the Niagara Regional Native Centre for cultural programming! $200 for the youth council and $500 for the centre itself. It has been bittersweet as we used the teaching of colonial history through Indigenous perspectives as a way to fundraise for cultural programming, much of which was illegal until 1951. If you are interested in what we do, please feel free to contact us as [email protected] so we can discuss the possibilities!
There are approximately 12 tickets remaining for this FREE session hosted at the Niagara Regional Native Centre this Friday! It is FREE to register and we are looking for a "pay what you can" that will be donated directly to the Niagara Regional Native Centre to support cultural programming. https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/ongoing-history-of-turtle-islan
We had a great day today! We were able to deliver the Ongoing History of Turtle Island and use a pay what you can model to raise $200 for the Niagara Regional Native Centre Youth Council to be used for cultural programming. #GivingBack #Donating #Indigenous #Training #IndigenousYouth
We have two tickets left for this event. They are free tickets for professional development training, with a pay what you can model (at the event) with all proceeds going to the Niagara Regional Native Centre Youth Council
For those who were looking for an opportunity to participate in our sold out training at the end of the month, we will be hosting another full day training, which will be located at Niagara Regional Native Centre on Friday, October 5, 2018. This is a FREE event with a "pay what you can" model to assist with cultural programming within to community and all proceeds being donated directly to NRNC. If you work for an organization and would like to work with us to deliver Indigenous content through professional development training as a way to enhance capacity through this fundraising initiative, send us an email at [email protected]
