Happy Halloween everyone!
When you take time out from your daily chores to visit with the neighbours
Frost sure is pretty but when you get it twice in one week, it can have devastating effects.
Good morning and happy pick up day! We are into week 4 of the farmshare program and this year has definitely had its challenges. While everywhere else has had some great amounts of rain lately, it's been almost a month without any significant rainfall. That being said, I thought I would share some clips of how I keep things going in times like these.... I hope everyone is enjoying their produce so far.
Good morning farmshare fam! Just letting you all know that pickup for today is still on even though it's Canada day 12pm to 8pm. Hope everyone enjoys their holiday and veggies!
Available Today! Asparagus and radish bunches for pick up until 7 pm. Respond to this post, pm or text to reserve your produce.... Asparagus $3 a bunch Radishes $2 a bunch Have a good day!
After a second bout with a week of cold temps at night everything seems to be rebounding and coming along nicely. Unfortunately the first share pick up and delivery date may have to be pushed back a week to June 24th which will put us back to around last year's start date. Any questions feel free to call, pm or text.
Garden and Greenhouse update: Planted some Swiss chard, kale, parsley, yellow and red Spanish onions, peas and more spinach today. The beets, radishes and cooking onions all survived the frost. Unfortunately the asparagus did not so it will be behind by a couple weeks. All the plants in the greenhouse are thriving and as soon as the weather stabilizes they will be transplanted in the field.... Stay happy and healthy
For those of you that are interested in seeing our high tech potatoe planter in action, here is a video from last week. Also I would like to take the time to let you know that the farm share registration is now closed. We have filled all our available spots for this season. I would like to thank all everyone who expressed an interest in the program this spring. If you wanted to register but missed us, keep an eye on the farm page as I will post veggies that are available for ...purchase as they come into season. If you are an avid canner don't forget about us for your canning needs. Thank you and stay healthy
Yesterday was a busy day of planting. Potatoes, beets, carrots, radishes and onions are all in the ground. There are also rhubarb, asparagus and garlic pushing their way through and if the beautiful weather keeps up they will be ready to pick before you know it. There are still a few spots available for this year's farm share program. If you are interested in joining pm me for details and the link to the registration.
Good morning from the greenhouse! Pepper, tomatoe and eggplant seedlings are coming along nicely. If the weather co-operates we might be able to start getting some potatoes in the ground by the end of the week. FARM SHARE REGISTRATION NOW OPEN TO ALL... For those of you who were interested in the share program and sent me your email, I will be sending you the link to the registration later today. The registration will be open until May. 22 2020 or until all available spots are spoken for. Hope everyone is happy and healthy
There has been lots of prep work going in to this year's season and I can't wait to share all the benefits of it with you. A reminder for last year's farm share customers. I sent out the registration for this year on Monday but some people have been finding it in their junk mail due to the farm having a new email address. So if you have not received the registration check your junk mail. New customers interested I am opening registration to you on the 21st.... Hope everyone is happy and healthy.
FARMSHARE 2020 It's that time of year again. Seeds have been started and are maturing in the greenhouse and it won't be long before I am back in the garden picking and tending to an abundance of fresh veggies. It's taken me a bit of time to get some answers and some reassurance but for those of you that have asked the answer is YES! THERE WILL BE A FARMAHRE FOR SUMMER 2020. I apologize for the delay but I just wanted to make sure I was able operate within the rules of our ev...er changing situation with this pandemic before I said anything. For those of you that were with us last year I will email you the registration link with the changes for this season. For those of you that would like information feel free to comment or pm for details. I hope everyone is well and thanks for your patience and support.
