To our Valued Customers: This is to advise that our business has been acquired by a British Columbia based business group effective March 1st, 2020. We are very proud of the business we have built and very appreciative of the support you have given us over our combined 60 years of operating Far West. Without great customers like you, our business would not have been possible. We have sought out a buyer who really appreciates the business, understands how to operate it prop...erly, and is keen and capable of developing its future potential. We will be staying on through a transition arrangement to ensure a smooth handover of the business, and we will continue to live in the Ucluelet area. No major changes are planned for the business in the short term. The new ownership group, however, will be seeking customer feedback to identify how additional customer value can be created. Our staff support the sale and are positive about the future under new management. Charlie Tsang will be appointed as the General Manager and he will start full time on April 1, 2020. He has experience in running a distribution business previously. As well, he was the GM for a very successful restaurant for over 15 years.
