Hi everyone! We're pleased to announce that Orchid Festival is still happening this year in a modified format! Join us this Friday, July 17th from 7:00pm-9:00p...m on a Zoom hosted webinar(link provided below) to get your orchid fix for 2020! You will find even more information at the Orchid Festival webpage orchidfest.ca. Featuring photos by local photographer Bill Caulfield Brown and live presentations by orchid and environmental experts you can ask questions in real time! Our presenters this year: John Alexander of Alexander Arts and Peter Kaellgren curtator emeritus of Decorative Arts for the Royal Ontario Museum offer sights and insights into their years of orchid exploration in Ontario. Their presentation "Meanwhile, in another part of the fen" is sure to inspire plans for on-location viewing for 2021. Esme Batten, Ontario Program DIrector for the Nature Conservancy of Canada offers an appreciation of the variety and natural history of orchids on the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula.
