Brownridge; Barbara Ann Barb went to be in the heavenly arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Beloved wife of Larry. Loving mother of Pamela(Bruno Moracci) Bronn of New Jersey, Christine Gordon of Eugenia, Debi(Butch) Hornbaker of Alabama, and Larry Jr. (Christine) of Edmonton. Greatly missed by grandchildren Philip, Meghan, Whitney(Dave), Kenneth, Bethany(Matt), Mandi(Josh) Cooper and Todd(April). Loved by her great grandchildren Titus, Audrey, Isla, Brecken and Jaspe...r. Remembered by siblings Darlene(Charlie) Allen, John(Cathy) Higginson, Debbie(Ted) Magee and Lynn (Ed Blackwell) Betts along with Mother-In-Law Leona Brownridge and the entire Brownridge family.. She is predeceased by parents Jack and Vera Higginson and granddaughter Amber. Barbara has been involved in showing and breeding purebred dogs for many years. Her love and devotion for the Brittany Spaniel have resulted in Barbara breeding and showing numerous dogs who obtained Conformation, Field, Obedience, Therapy Dog, Agility, and Rally titles under the kennel name HiddenCreek Brittanys. Although truthfully, Barbara’s main goal was to produce wonderful companion dogs. Barbara took great pride in her breeding program providing numerous families with healthy and happy HiddenCreek puppies. There was always a long wait list to obtain one of Barbara’s puppies as a result of her dedication to the breed. As an active member of the Brittany Spaniel Club of Ontario and a Lifetime Member of the Grey Bruce Kennel and Obedience Club, Barbara was always ready to share her knowledge and love for dogs. She took on many roles in both organizations and demonstrated that many hands make light work. We will remember Barbara with love and think of her each time we see a beautiful Brittany Spaniel whether winning Best of Breed, a Field Champion Title, or a loving family pet. As Barbara stated proudly, Brittanys are my love, not my living. Thank you Barbara for sharing your love with so many. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations to Campbell House Hospice or Rock Mills Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated.
