Dr. Watson and Dr. Tong answer the following questions: What do you look for in general in a personal statement? Is there anything in particular that should be touched upon? Is it recommended to include specific future goals or to keep it more broad?

Dr. Watson answers the following questions: Should the letter of intent be written in any particular format? Is there any format that is frowned upon (e.g. a story-telling type of letter)?

Dr. Watson and Dr. Tong answer the following question: How can a student most effectively choose which achievements to focus on in a letter of intent/personal statement?

Dr. Tong and Dr. Watson answer the following questions: Does research matter? If so, does the type of research matter? Any recommendations on how to strengthen a CV without any special research or -related work experience?

Dr. Tong answers the following question: Is there any recommended order for listing achievements/involvement in a CV? (i.e. awards first? Followed by. Research? Community involvement? Extracurriculars?)

Dr. Tong and Dr. Watson answer the following questions: What are some Do’s and Don’t’s for preparing a CV? How long should it be? What information should be included? Should mandatory rotations be listed on the CV?

A McGill University dental student entering his final year, Stamatis Kouniaris, has taken advantage of his extra free time these past few months and has taught himself how to code. He created a free app to help Canadian dental students prepare for their NDEB exam! The premise of this app is to provide dental students with a free source of high yield study questions, answers and explanations. Our Annual General Meeting & Board of Directors Meeting are held this weekend annually in-person. Due to COVID-19, we hosted our first-ever virtual AGM & BOD meeting today and they were a huge success.
