We miss being out in the field and giving back, especially during the holidays. So we’re reminded of the amazing people we were fortunate enough to encounter in the past when we volunteered at Mamas for Mamas last year a local charity in Kelowna BC that helps families in need. When Ashley walked into Mamas for Mamas for her free haircut, she admitted she was really feeling the weight of the world and needed a mom break. She’s raising three kids under five years old and ju...st moved into her own place after living in a women’s shelter. Refusing to watch her kids suffer, she found the courage to escape from a repetitive cycle of abuse and is finding the light at the end of a long, difficult tunnel. She told us there are so many good people in the world and she wants to one day pay it forwards because they don’t realize how much they helped her. This haircut was the first thing she’s done for herself in a long time, and asked us for a style she had been dreaming of for over 2 years.
