Good morning! Did anyone have a banana with their breakfast? Did you know that strange fuzzy feeling you get on your teeth when eating certain foods and dri...nks come from acids, and all acids can create a weird feeling in your mouth to a certain degree. Spinach and bananas both have oxalic acids. The calcium binding properties of the oxalates cause them to precipitate as crystals on the surfaces of your teeth, which causes the fuzzy feeling you get when eating them. Interestingly, this is the same principle behind many topical treatments for tooth sensitivity. These types of foods can help plug up the dentinal tubules where the pain starts. Eating oxalate rich foods is just one of many changes you can make in your diet to reduce tooth sensitivity.

It is never to late to learn a new brushing technique! 1 Start with the most difficult places and end with the easy ones: from the back of your molars to the... front teeth, from the inside to the outside. 2 Hold the brush like a pen while brushing to make sure you don’t push hard on your teeth. 3 Place the brush one half covering the teeth, and the other half the gums. Bacteria and plaque usually hide in the gumline. To get rid of them more effectively, apply minimal pressure and move in small circles.
