FORT MCMURRAY! Sorry this is late posting, took a week to recover after a visit from the Rum Runners from Edson, AB, best weekend of our summer! Have to thank them for the Alberta care package, we ate the steaks before the picture. Wish we could have seen our Fort McMurray family, we miss all you gals and gents! Stay safe and strong!

Hard to believe it has been 19 years since 9/11. I think back to the moment I realized what was going on, we had just arrived back from Wales the night before and flown into Montreal. We were in St. Julie, QC about to head to Shawinigan, QC to get the course set-up for Nationals. Roy & Paula Davis where waiting for us in Shawinigan, watching all of the footage on television. We had no idea of the scope of the tragedy until that evening. That year Nationals was postponed till October. If you have a memory of Shawinigan Nationals post it! I think that Nationals was one of the most important we have ever had as our Competitors as well as us really needed to be together after what had happened in NY. Thinking of you all and missing our FireFit Family around the World. Stay strong, be safe and we will see you on the course!

This weekend we would have been in beautiful Sarnia, ON, with the wonderful hospitality of Lambton College! Possibly we might have seen a time like this with Lambton College alumni and Sarnia firefighter, Ian Van Reenan! It’s ok, it’s giving everyone lots of time to rest up and train harder for next year!

We would’ve had our first event in St. Catherine’s, ON this weekend! Hosted by the wonderful St. Catherine’s team that just keeps on growing and multiplying! Through special Firefit back channels we have managed to find photo evidence of the St. Catherine’s teams secret workout....Calf Raises! It’s almost like they are being taught knowledge by a higher being...a CalfZilla if you will ....more details as the story progresses.

Would have been a fun long weekend in Centreville, NB at the Multiplex! We were really looking forward to being in the newly finished facility! Big thank you goes out to Ryan and MetalFab Fire Trucks who had planned to sponsor the Event. We salute you all with our own truck Rally! Not quite the tractor pull that Centreville is famous for but Rescue Randy enjoyed riding the bumper!

We seem to be having an issue catching lobster here in BC! Today would have been Relay Day in Amherst! Missing our Atlantic FireFit Family! Looking forward to next year and hanging out with the Amherst crew! We are sure Chuck will have an interesting music selection for someone! Perhaps we can get some lobster catching lessons!
