March to the beat of your own drum. This sweetie (who just turned one) is quite the musician. The sounds in here today are awesome!

Its PINK shirt day. A day to STOP Bullying. Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, on social media and over the internet. Today Wednesday, February 27th, 2019, we are wearing pink to support bully prevention awareness, education and programs.

How fortunate are we to have these two amazing UNBSJ nursing students with us again these past few months helping us out. They reviewed and researched and updated our Medication Policy for us and WOW what a great job.

When your staff are not only exceptional Residential Support Staff, but also talented artists... how lucky are we!

January is almost over. It was a long cold month for sure. But at First Steps there is a sign of an early Spring ... a pretty butterfly has appeared. Sure warmed up my day. Hope it adds warmth to yours.

My mommys home made Mac n Cheese is so delicious, but eating it is exhausting. Happy Tuesday everyone. Stay warm.

The week before Christmas at First Steps is busy and exciting as we prepare to celebrate with our moms and babies. We are grateful for all the support and generosity of the community. So many wonderful people who donate their time, talents, and resources. With all of your giving we are able to make Christmas a special time here. Thanks to Roots to Branches in Rothesay who placed a sign in their office, CCSA who collected donations again this year, and Rock of Ages Music School whose parents, students and staff held a concert with donations to going to our Second Steps Program.
