'Tis that time of year again! We will be closed or closing early for a few days over Christmas so that we can all spend some well deserved time off with our families! We hope you all have time to do the same, and we are looking forward to continuing to serve you in the upcoming New Year!

The Weather Network has released their 2020-21 Winter forecast and they are predicting a warmer than usual season. We saw this a few years ago, where Winter was unseasonably warm, and a lot of our customers saw algae in their ponds as soon as the ice melted in the Spring and continued to have an uphill battle all Summer. Algae will continue to grow in the Winter months if the ice is thin and sunlight is getting through. One of the best things to do is be ready with your P...ond Dye and apply it as soon as the ice starts coming off! Another great way to reduce the algae is by removing the nutrients from the water by using Polar Blend. For those of you who already use Natures Blend to combat algae and other aquatic weeds, this is the cold water version and can be applied when water temperatures are as low as 4C. Our showroom will remain closed to walk-in customers until the Fall of 2020. We simply do not have the staff or resources to comply with, and monitor, the mandatory Government regulations in place for retail stores. We prefer to focus our time and efforts on continuing to serve you in the best possible way while keeping you and our staff safe! At this time, during Stage 1 of the Ontario Governments plan to reopen the Province, our store will remain closed to walk-in customers. We simply do not have the time or the resources needed to setup and enforce the Government regulations regarding retail stores and how they must operate during this time. Once the Government announces what regulations will need to be in place for Stage 2, we will reassess the situation and keep you informed as to how we will operate.
