The Turkey is bubbling away in the oven, The garlic roast pork is sizzling along side the turkey. Once again we are preparing for our annual Thanksgiving Weekend Resort Buffet....crackers and cheese plate, garlic sausage, pepperoni, homemade candy salmon, veggies and dip, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy and a massive Ceasar salad is all on our supper menu. Then onto the dessert: strawberry rhubarb pie, apple pie and pumpkin pie and don't forget the whipped cream! Along with a few bowls and trays of cookies, brownies, carrot cake and date squares and not to be forgotten the nanimo bars. What a fun way to spend with others this Thanksgiving weekend. Did you miss out?...........Don't worry, we will do this again next year too!! Thank you to all our guests who came out this year. Happy Thanksgiving

Here is a video of the washout on the Baezaeko Road past the resort, from the creek directly at the end of Little Fishpot. The water has gone down alot, but has completely taken off all the top of the road, leaving the culverts exposed. We chose not to drive through this......

EVACUATION ORDER FOR UPPER NAZKO AREA The Cariboo Regional District has issued an evacuation order for the Upper Nazko area due to danger from flooding and pote...ntial loss of access routes. Members of the RCMP will be going door to door with the evacuation order on Monday morning, April 30. The Evacuation Route is the Snaking River Forest Service Road to the Harrington Pit Road, then to Nazko Highway 59. For those residents unable to evacuate please contact the CRD’s Emergency Operations Centre at 1-866-759-4977 and shelter in place until the RCMP arrives to evacuate you by helicopter tomorrow morning. A bus will be waiting to transport evacuees to the ESS reception centre in Quesnel. They have been reading our posts and are planning a trip to Nazko in the mornin...g with workers, bottled water, shovels and what ever else is needed. I need to talk to Shannon Bell or who ever is in charge of operations out there. I need to know exactly what is needed, etc. Please pass this on, thank you. See more
