The good news is, you have the ability to change your identity. Most people fail at losing weight and keeping it off because they only focus on changing actions without getting to the root of their behaviors, habits, and thoughts: identity. ? ... There seems to be A LOT of misconception around how much water we should be drinking daily... The truth is, how much you should be drinking really depends on a lot of factors:... Activity Level Climate Stress Medications Illness That being said...I'm not going to leave you with a vague answer here. I know you clicked on this post to learn something, so here we go! DOUBLE TAP if you're crushing your water goals! As a general rule of thumb, I always start with 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water. For simplicity, here is the conversion from liters to ounces: 1 oz = 0.0296 Liters Ex: 200 LB woman = 100 oz of water (baseline) x 0.0296 = 2.96 Liters To be safe, I like to add an additional 500 ml (17 oz) for every 30 minutes of activity. Ex: 200 LB woman - Now is exercising 30 minutes/day doing a fitness class...Her new water intake would be 117 oz/day. What if this individual is much more active? Say 1.5 hours of activity/day? Let's find out... Ex: 200 LB woman - Now is exercising 1 hour, 30 min/day between a 30 min fitness class and a 1 hour walk/run with her dog = 151 oz (Roughly 4.5 L/day). Again, this is all dependent on your weight, activity and overall health. Certain medications/illnesses/hotter climates may cause increased thirst, so keep that in mind, and adjust accordingly! A festive Vegan Holiday Treat made in only 5 minutes! These no bake chocolate peppermint balls even have a trick to keeping them whole food and healthy. I think I can say that chocolate and mint are one of my top flavor combos. But don’t worry, there is a candy cane option too for those days you all want to live a little ... CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT BALLS IN 5 MINUTES FLAT 10 tablespoons cocoa powder 6 tablespoons maple syrup 1/4 cup almond butter , use sunbutter for nut free (see note) 1/4 cup unflavored pea protein powder , I use NOW Sports brand (see note) - teaspoon peppermint extract , use more if not using the candy cane option 1/4 teaspoon sea salt 2-4 tablespoons crushed candy canes , or cacao nibs for a healthy crunchy option 2-4 tablespoons dairy free chocolate chips , omit for even healthier option 2-4 tablespoons water optional (see note) INSTRUCTIONS 1. Put everything except the candy cane or cacao nibs, chocolate chips and water into a bowl and mix well. 2. Slowly add water if needed. You may not need any water if your almond butter is runny. Start with a teaspoon and slowly add until you get a well mixed batter. If you add too much then the batter will be too soft to roll. 3. Add the candy canes/cacao nibs and chocolate chips and mix again. 4. Allow to chill in the fridge while you clean up, then roll into balls. 5. You can then top with more crushed candy canes for presentation if you want. I just rolled them in or sprinkled them on top. Note: These make 10 balls about 2 inches in size To make this nut free use sunbutter, this will change the flavor slightly but will allow it to be completely allergy friendly. You can sub another kind of protein powder, just make sure it is unsweetened and unflavored. If you do not have, or do not want to use, a protein powder you can sub oat flour. Use the same amount. If your almond butter is runny you may not need any water, add slowly to get the consistency you prefer. You could also use milk if you want a little extra richness. For the healthiest option, use cacao nibs instead of the candy canes and omit the chocolate chips. NUTRITION Calories: 118 Cal | Carbohydrates: 16g Protein: 4g | Fat: 5g | Fiber: 2g |Sugar: 11g

After speaking with AHS this morning, we will be implementing all of the current AHS temporary measures to keep YOU and our team safe! ... Things are going to look a little different in the short termWhat will this mean for you as a member? Daily Strength Training workouts provided for you (You may also do your own workout of choice). You will still have your own 8’ x 8’ workout space with your own equipment Schedule your 30-minute time block as per normal on Zen Planner Trainers will be available to help address questions/concerns individually as well as grab alternative weight selections as needed. One of the main differences is we are not permitted to run Group Sessions, so the Trainers will be there to address questions individually as this will be YOUR workout time/space, not a group led session. We also will not be doing cardio movements temporarily due to AHS guidelines. We will instead be putting a stronger focus on Strength Training until further notice. We will also be still providing 6 Live Zoom sessions as well as Fit Body on Demand workouts to serve you better! Still want more cardio? No problem! We suggest coming into the studio to get your daily strength training workout and pair that with a cardio based Fit Body on Demand workout at home if you’re wanting to get your heart and lungs pumping more! All of this said, we fully understand there have been so many changes and adjustments and we truly value and appreciate all of you and acknowledge how this is forcing us all to be out of our comfort zone. This is our FAVORITE new dinner recipe! The flavors of pesto, cranberry, and acorn squash perfectly dress up chicken in this easier-than-easy Instant Pot recipe. It’s the perfect cozy, cold-weather recipe Here is what you need:... 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs salt and pepper 1 cups broth (chicken or bone) 2 acorn squashes 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 tablespoon minced garlic 1 yellow onion, chopped 2 tablespoons dried cranberries cup roasted pepitas 1 cup pesto (Here’s my go-to pesto recipe) DIRECTIONS 1. Generously season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Put the chicken in the instant pot along with the broth. Cover and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes. 2. Remove the chicken from the instant pot, transfer to a plate to cool. Leave the chicken broth in the pot. 3. Place a steam rack in the instant pot, over the broth. Cut the acorn squash in half, widthwise and place on the steam rack, cut side up. Cover and cook on high pressure for 4 minutes. 4. Meanwhile, place the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion and saute until soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. 5. Once the chicken has cooled, shred into a bowl. Mix in the sauteed onions, cranberries, pepitas and pesto. Mix until fully combined and season with salt and pepper. Divide the chicken mixture into the four acorn squash halves. Serve and enjoy!
