With warm weather on the mind, it's time to start thinking about how to refresh your curb appeal. This exterior refresh project was truly all about the power of paint! By painting the brick, siding, garage and front door all the same colour, we blended some of the older/dated features to create an updated look on a budget. The custom wood accents help bring warmth and also provided some added privacy to the porch. Here's how we did it: ... Bathroom reveal! Just because it's custom, doesn't mean you have to keep it! The bathroom before had an overpowering custom-built vanity that maximized storage but made the space feel incredibly tight and dark. For this project, we started by ripping everything out - even the drywall! Not so fun fact: if your walls are tiled before you demo, you probably will need to re-drywall, so take that into consideration any time you are doing a bathroom reno. ... Here's what we did: Replaced the tub Added black shower fixtures Waterproofed with #schlutersystems Long white subway tile (from @homedepotcanada) with charcoal grout @ikea godmorgon vanity & odensvik sink New black faucets & hardware from @amazoncan Black penny tile floors & charcoal grout from @homedepotcanada New Toilet New Trim everywhere White Potlights Black metal framed mirror from @homesensecanada Black vanity lights + edison LED bulbs from @amazoncan @behrpaint marquee brand in semi-gloss This washroom is shared by three little kids, so it was important that we keep it kid-friendly, but also designed it with the idea that they can grow with it.
