2021 TFSA Contribution Room To Remain at $6,000 This means the total contribution room available in 2021 for someone who has never contributed and has been eligible for the TFSA since its introduction in 2009 is $75,500 TFSAs can be an ideal savings and investment vehicle for ALL Canadians. They are especially effective as a retirement savings alternative to the traditional RRSP. The TFSA offers tax sheltered growth on investments inside the plan and will not produce tax sli...ps annually and the entire account can be withdrawn without having to claim the growth accumulated in the plan. The flexibility of the TFSA allows you to invest in high interest savings accounts, stocks, bonds, mutual funds and ETFs. The account holder is able to name a spouse as a successor owner as well as name other beneficiaries on the account. Sincere Thank You For Supporting Our VON Initiative On November 23rd we launched our second Secret Santa For Seniors. We worked in coordination with the VON and Bossons Pharmacy to provide gift baskets to our community seniors who are often overlooked during the Christmas season. We are thrilled and beyond grateful to say that just over ONE HUNDRED baskets were purchased this year. A special note and thank you goes out to Ellie Dyer who is a 9 year old girl in our communit...y who raised money all on her own to purchase 27 baskets for this program. Ellie was then recognized and awarded the Community Service Award by our mayor, Joanne Vanderheyden. This is the true meaning of giving at Christmas. Way to go Ellie! Christmas cards were also created at one of our local schools and tucked in with the gift baskets. The heartwarming messages from our youngsters to our seniors would bring a tear to the eye of the recipients this year. On Friday, December 11th, Joel in our office helped VON make the deliveries and was overwhelmed with the kind words of thanks at each and every delivery location. Thank you to all our clients and friends that donated to the VON Secret Santa program. Thank you to the team at VON for helping us to coordinate the names and deliveries of the packages and an extra special thank you to Alisha and Mike Gleiser, owners of Bossons Pharmacy for creating the baskets and keeping them safely stored away until they could be delivered. We live in a truly amazing community.

We are excited to be coordinating this program with @VictorianOrderofNursesME that will provide support for seniors who are in need. The holidays are meant for ...us to spend time with our family and our friends. Often times, seniors who have lost family members or been separated from their loved ones especially during the pandemic restrictions have many seniors spending the holidays alone. We want to be sure that as many people as possible are supported and thought about during the Christmas Season. For this reason, we introduced the Secret Santa program last year. The program was so well received by those in need last year, that we are once again partnering with VON to spread a little Christmas cheer. This year we have made some changes to our program to try and limit touch points for gifts that will be delivered to seniors as we recognize they are our most vulnerable when thinking about the COVID pandemic. This year we also want to support our local businesses that have also been facing challenges with the pandemic. This is why we have decided to partner with Mike and Alisha Gleiser who own @bossonspharmacy to prepare pre-packaged gift baskets. If you are interested in supporting seniors in need, you can go into Bossons Pharmacy and indicate you want to support the Flagstone Secret Santa program and purchase a prepacked gift basket. The cost is $35 for each basket, Bossons will keep the gifts safely tucked away before VON receives the gifts to then deliver to the seniors in need. Gift baskets will be available for purchase from November 16 - December 2, so please visit their store or call them at 519-245-3810 to purchase your seniors gift basket. Building a Business At Any Age: During the COVID quarantine, Bill and Dee Dee wanted to teach their children the value and benefits of being an entrepreneur, just like their father Bill - who is a co-owner of Clark-Haasen Electric. The Piskorowski children are making money by selling their farm fresh eggs! Bill built a chicken coop for Brady, Carter and Allyssa on their farm and took them to buy chicks to get their business up and running. The children are responsible for marketing their product, bringing in the income, paying for their own expenses for feed and the net profit is theirs to keep. They produced a video to market their egg production and the oldest of the Piskorowski children, Brady - looks after the business books. What a great story and a great way to think outside the box. Well done Piskorowski family!
