Mind body connection is present all of the time, for better and worse. Experiencing this connection is a routine occurrence, something we deal with all of the time. The problem can arise when we are feeling really anxious, super stressed out or angry, creating negative affects on the body over time. These thoughts and feelings are a very real part of our lives and yoga can give us tools to better deal with this mind body connection - the good and the not so good. Tools like pratyahara (turning inward) and Dhyana (meditation) can get our minds out of the way allowing the stress response system to relax so that the body can do a better job of healing itself. #mindbody #mentalhealth #youprojectkelowna #yoga #mentalhealthawareness

We hosted a dinner a few weeks ago in benefit of the Central Okanagan Hospice. Was such a fun night with great people! The food was phenomenal, prepared by five local chefs and the wine was supplied by Summerhill Winery. The dinner was bid on last year at the Swinging with the Stars event that is put on by the August Family Foundation every year here in Kelowna. Can’t get enough of these California sunsets. Feeling extra grateful this past week for the opportunity to spend so much time in Manhattan Beach during the winters, it’s starting to feel like home.
