Hi Friends, I just wanted to let you know your Friends of Caledon Public Library are still here, waiting thru the restraints of COVID-19 and asking for your assistance in a very important matter that will allow our Used Book and Media Sales to resume, supporting the Library as best we can. I hope you may have had the opportunity to enjoy reading the Poetry and Short Stories from the winners of the Writing Contests which we happily sponsored earlier this year. You can find all... the winning entries on the library website. We are now happily supporting the Photography Contest, which began on July 15th and will continue until September. Guidelines for participation in the Photography Contest are available here: http://www.caledon.library.on.ca//CPLSmartPhonePhotoContest I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support, and to ask for your assistance. In the weeks leading up to the necessity to close Community buildings and our Library branches, we completed sorting books and media for our annual sale in April. Now Library staff are weeding and sorting at all the branches, and we are looking forward to making these items available to you when we can. Our Library storage areas are full. We are looking for storage for the labelled boxes until the time we are able to hold sales protecting the safety of both the Friends and our customers. We are in desperate need of a possible location, storage unit, or contact that would allow us to store these boxes. We have a limited budget for storage fees, but can offer a receipt as a charitable organization.
