Fraternal Order of Eagles #2102 Saint Albert 25.12.2020

Hello Eagle Members - it's our duty to be People helping People Its been a while since the club has been open. March 16th, we closed the doors to keep COVID-19 out!... We hope that all our members, families, and friends, are doing well and staying safe. It is great to see our members who are lending an extra hand to someone in need. You have gone out of your way to be selfless during this terrible crisis. It makes us even more proud to call ourselves members of this great organization. The executive has had several meetings throughout our closure. On Monday night we had another meeting and it was decided to open the club on Monday June 22nd as a soft opening to test the waters till July 1st following AHS / AGLC COVID Protocols. Cases of the virus are still a concern with social interaction. We must be diligent in social distancing, sanitizing and hand washing. With the first wave of COVID-19 slowing down there is a perception it is close to over, and life is getting back to normal. It is important to remember not to be complacent, this virus is going to be around for many months. A second wave of the virus is expected, who knows when, and this all depends on how we follow the guidelines. We have been in touch with AHS / AGLC for the appropriate protocols that are required to be followed. Club hours will be shortened; Monday to Friday 3 to 6 and weekends 12 to 6. Social distancing is a must and a priority. Bring your mask. The club has been set up to enable members to sit and visit at 6 feet apart. A sanitizer station is set up for members coming and going at the front door. There will be no service at the bar, table service is the new normal for now. We have restocked the bar with fresh, ice cold beer, wine and liquor ...and non alcohol products. We have hall rentals starting in July with some restrictions and AHS / AGLC rules will apply. 2019-2020 Aerie Dues expired May 31, 2020. The Grand Aerie has extended the deadline to June 31, 2020. After June 31st the Grand Aerie will drop your name off the membership roster and you will lose your year to year status. Dues can be paid by e transfer, mail, or at the club starting Monday June 22, 2020 at 3:00 PM On another note, The Grand Aerie Convention 2020 in Spokane has been canceled. The Grand will be replacing the Convention with meetings to be held in RENO, Nevada in July. Our first General meeting will be Tuesday June 23rd. Nominations will be held at this meeting for the Aerie Executive 20-21 year. From the words of our Grand Worthy President; Keep doing what you can for others - it is important, now, more than ever, to exemplify who we, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, truly are - People Helping People If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] Fraternally Yours Secretary Doug
