Tip of the day, inspired by a question I just had from a client. Don't get frustrated with all the unripened avocados in the store. Just buy some anyway. Although you can't eat them tonight, the trick is to wrap them individually in paper bags or newspaper, and leave them on your counter. They'll be perfect in a couple of days. To speed this up, try putting a banana, apple or tomato in with them. When *we* (insert smile) were pregnant, I remember the midwife telling us that every nutritional thing which a human being needs to stay alive can be found within the skin of an avocado. They're amazing. And delicious. Enjoy!!

Food Fusions' Toy Drive is on! We have begun our seasonal collection of gifts to donate to local families in need through the Christmas Season. Each year, my family hosts a big Christmas Brunch - we keep our friends and family well-fed and merry in exchange for them bringing a gift for the Christmas Bureau. This weekend we collected about 20 toys - but you can see that there is still room for more!... If you'd like to pitch in, just let me know. I'll come by and pick your unwrapped toy up.
