Forestburg Fire responded to a structure fire in town yesterday along with the Galahad Fire Department. Our teams found, rescued and resuscitated the families cat as well as salvaged some important belongings. Unfortunately there was a lot of damage to the contents of the home. Thank you to Galahad Fire Department, AHS EMS, RCMP, Flagstaff County Peace Officers, Atco Power and Phoenix Gas for all of the help.
Keep your eyes open tomorrow for 2021 Highway Cleanup Campaign volunteer crews. Groups will be out to help pick up garbage & make Alberta beautiful for everyone. When passing clean-up crews on the highway be sure to do your part & slow down when passing them! #ABHighwayCleanUp21
Thank you to the Forestburg Communities in Bloom group for completing this project. It certainly has brought life back to the Austin. Special recognition to Retiree Fire Chief Micheal Jahns for coordinating and Terry & Cathy Parsons for their great restoration work.
A few photos from our Wildland training last night. We were glad to have our neighbours from Galahad join us for this valuable experience.
Reminder - burning tonight (April 21, 2021)
We were happy to get out and work with Stettler Regional Fire Department on this incident.

YAHOO!!!!!! Its time to share what we've had up our sleeve planning:) At a recent Victim Services board meeting, we were discussing how disappointing it was hav...ing to cancel the Annual Charity Checkstop due to COVID, and we were sad for the community as they wouldn't get the chance to come stop by, and interact with all of the first responders, but ,we still felt a strong need to support them. So how do we still do that in these times? Well, we are so excited about what we want to do with your help Flagstaff County has always been such a phenomenal supporter of our first responders and front line workers, and we cannot WAIT to see the town lit up Blue! We really do live in the best County in the world! Please share the poster all over social media, talk amongst yourself ( maybe not face to face though..) and get Creative:) don't forget to take pictures and use the hashtags! #localheroes2020, #flagstaffcounty See more
Thank you everyone who stopped by and donated food or money at our food drive for the Flagstaff Food Bank. Thank you to Brian Moore and staff of Moore’s Shop Easy for the use of the parking lot and pre-packing food donation bags as well as Karen Cannady of Coldwell Banker for the use of the trailer and all of the Fire Fighters and Friends Society who came out to help. Donation bins will remain out at Moore’s Shop Easy for a few more days, so you still have time to donated if you missed us today. Final totals will be determined when we deliver to the food bank.
Our Food Drive is this morning. Please be sure to stop by Moore’s Store between 9 and 12 to drop off any donations to the Flagstaff Food Bank. If you would prefer pick up please call (780) 608-6521.
Reminder of these events occurring tonight. The food drive will occur in Forestburg on October 17th, 2020.
In lieu of our annual Fall Pancake Breakfast we will be having a Food Drive for the Flagstaff Food Bank.
Thank you to Bob Coutts and staff of Coutts Home Hardware for displaying our Membership / Memorial Board this month. It took up quite a bit of valuable space in the store and we appreciated the opportunity for our past members and the public to see it. Thank you!
