I would like to share this gift to all of us from the children at all of the nine NPH Homes. "Mi Burrito Sabanero" is about a little donkey making its way to Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born. Thank you to all the staff and children of the NPH Homes who share their joy and love with us this Christmas. I would like to introduce you to two special boys who live in Nicaragua. These young men are needing sponsorship to assist in giving them a better life. For only $35.00 per month, you can help them with this. What a great Christmas present! There are other children available........... Pierre (left) was born on October 19, 2009. He lives with his biological parents and an older brother. He lives in the city of Jinotepe in Nicaragua. His father works as a taxi driver and is... the only person who supports the family. His mother takes care of Benjamin and his older brother. Despite the income his father receives, he does not have the necessary conditions for his development. Benjamin joined the Good Samaritan program in Casa Padre Wasson on July 4, 2017. He suffers from infantile cerebral paralysis. However, he can walk on his own. At NPH he receives medical care and transportation to attend medical appointments in Managua. Besides, he receives physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medicine and nutritional supplements that help strengthen his diet. He comes to NPH twice a week. Currently, he is studying 4th grade of primary in a special education school in Jinotepe. He is an active and a smart boy. His hobbies are going to school, spending time with classmates and painting. Ramon (right) was born on May 17, 2006. He was abandoned by his mother and lives with his biological father in Nandaime., Nicaragua . His father does not have a formal job and sometimes he works as tattooist. In the community where Wilmer lives there are some factors that do not allow his development such as an inclusive education school, lack of a health centre, and socio-economic barriers that limit the development of activities so that he can improve his life. Wilmer joined the Good Samaritan program in Casa Padre Wasson on May 28, 2014. He suffers from infantile cerebral paralysis. He needs a wheelchair to move from place to place. At NPH he receives medical attention and transportation to attend therapies at Casa Padre Wasson and physiotherapies, occupational therapy and medicine and milk. Moreover, his father is being trained to give better attention to Wilmer at home. He comes to NPH twice a week. He does not attend school because of his exceptionality. He is an active, sociable and a smiling boy. He enjoys painting, dancing and his favourite sport is soccer. His favourite food is fried chicken and his favourite hobby is listening to music.
