Hi everyone! We hope the start of your weekend is going well, today we have a fantastic piece to show you but first, a question. Do you like magic? Because the process in this piece we’re about to show you feels just like that, magic! This painting came to us is a crumbling state; cracked with age it could never be stretched again. Most would either tuck this painting away or toss it but we have a fantastic process to heal such paintings, we call it dry mounting! By mounting ...the canvas on a dry mount board with an adhesive we then put it through a heating press, this pushes the cracked pieces down as such flattening the painting and permanently adhering the lifted and cracked pieces in place. The finished product is than able to be placed in a frame giving the appearance of a stretched canvas and the outcome is just stunning!
