I didn’t want to pay $30-$50 for a tree skirt (because that would be ridiculous right?!) so I go spend $10 on a pattern $40 on fabric and 5-6 hours my life making it instead (because that’s perfectly justifiable in my mind) lol I love quilting.I didn’t want to pay $30-$50 for a tree skirt (because that would be ridiculous right?!) so I go spend $10 on a pattern $40 on fabric and 5-6 hours my life making it instead (because that’s perfectly justifiable in my mind) lol I love quilting.
I was asked the other day by one of my online quilting friends what I had named my sewing machine. Got me to thinking. My old sewing machine is called Prissy because the older she got the more cantankerous she got. My seam ripper goes by Jack (Jack the ripper for obvious reasons). My new treasure has never been named. Well I went to my refuge (sewing room), sat done in front of her and decided Libby. Short for Liberty. With all the fear, uncertainty, and chaos around us when I close the door and play with Libby I leave all of it on the other side of the door. I think we all need some sort of Libby in our lives right now.
Hi everyone Due to new strict Covid restrictions the guild has suspended all meetings until 2021. Instead of a Christmas lunch and gift exchange in December we will hopefully be able to celebrate the New Year at the January meeting. Have a Merry even if low key Christmas everyone and Please Stay Safe!

In today’s #APQS blog post, we’re sharing a VERY helpful tool: a binding strip cutting chart. You’ll find binding strip widths from 2 4 inches wide. Plus, it ...handles binding lengths needed to tackle a potholder all the way up to a king-size quilt. Thanks to our Education Director Dawn Cavanaugh for pulling this together. https://bit.ly/36DV2mI
