Please see below an important update regarding pool operations during the Orange Phase of the Provincial Recovery Plan. The pool will reopen with a revised schedule starting on Thursday, January 7th. All sessions require sign-up online or by calling the Welcome Desk at 462-3000 ext: 0. Online and in person sign-up for Thursday, January 7 is now open. ... Moving forward, registration will be open as of 5:00 am the day prior to their preferred session. Pool Schedule https://fredericton.ymca.ca//Orange-Phase-Aquatic-Schedule Please note: - Change rooms are not available before the session. - Access to pool will be through the Universal Change Room. - Outdoor footwear must be removed at the entrance of the Universal Change Room. - Members must come dressed in swim wear. Over clothes can be removed on the pool deck. - All bags must be left in the viewing gallery. Lockers are unavailable. - Masks are to be worn at all times when not in the water. - Showers are unavailable. - Changing stalls in the Universal Change Room are available after the session to remove wet swim wear only. Announcement by the Government of New Brunswick, Fredericton Region (Zone 3) Transition to the Orange Phase Following this afternoon’s announcement by the Government of New Brunswick, the Fredericton Region (Zone 3) is transitioning to the Orange Phase of the Provincial Recovery Plan as of midnight tonight, January 5, 2021. The YMCA of Fredericton will remain open with a revised operational plan to keep our members, staff and community as safe and healthy as possible. Members...hip The Fredericton YMCA (570 York Street) and the Willie O’Ree Place Program Facility will remain open to our members but the following changes will be implemented: 1. Active screening will return with mandatory temperature checks upon entering the facility, as well as answering screening questions. 2. Masks must be worn at all times throughout the facility, including while exercising in the Wellness Centre. 3. Locker rooms are closed, which includes steam rooms and showers. Members are discouraged from bringing in bags. 4. Physical distancing requirements will increase to 3 metres/9 feet for high-intensity fitness classes and exercise. All Group Fitness class stations will allow for a minimum of 3 metres of physical distancing therefore masks are mandatory at all times except while engaged in class activity. 5. All swimming lessons will be paused for the duration of the Orange Phase. The pool will be closed on Wednesday, January 6th. A revised pool schedule (to begin Thursday, January 7th) will be posted by 2:00 p.m. tomorrow. Online and in person sign-up will be available at that time. 6. All other programs, including Early Years and Youth (basketball, gymnastics, karate etc.) will be continuing as normal but all participants must wear a mask at all times, while also maintaining physical distancing. Child Care & After School Programs YMCA Child Care is an essential service and all of our locations will remain open during the Orange Phase.
