Fresh Start Cleaning & Organizing 17.11.2020

An article about my husbands uncle who sadly passed away last night at the Maples Personal Care Home. So sad to see so many people loosing their lives over this crazy virus. Stay safe everyone. Social distance and stay home unless necessary.

Fresh Start Cleaning & Organizing 03.11.2020

The Christmas Cheer board announced today that they will not be doing hampers this year. Now more then ever this is needed. I announced last month about doing hampers for families (this was not with the Christmas cheer board), and we were going to do collections for specific families. Now instead of doing people given info for a specific family we are going to do a mass collection then separate it all out to give to as many families as possible. We will be collecting anything... and everything such as food, personal hygiene items, toiletries and clothes and toys for all ages . If you would like to donate drop off is in Transcona. If there are other places willing to take donations I can pickup, I just can't be driving all over the city to individual homes. We can also take monetary donations, then we will be doing a big shop closer to Christmas. If any of my clients want to make a donation, my staff can pickup during the next clean :) I know times are tough for many people right now, but ANY donation is appreciated; a can of food, even a couple dollars would help out a great deal. With the announcement that the province is moving into the red zone (critical) and more places are forced to close, I have been receiving many messages and calls about what that means for us and if we are still allowed to operate. The answer is YES. We are an essential service and will remain open as long as we have the clients to stay open. I know that during these unknown and scary times, many either don't feel comfortable having others in their home and want to reduce the ...risk of exposure, or maybe need to hold off on services as someone in the household has temporarily lost their job. It's ok. We completely understand. We want to make sure all our clients are safe and feel comfortable. I also want my clients to know that we will do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and we are doing all we can to make sure our time in your home is a safe one. The steps we are all taking include ; - Washing our hands when we enter your home and before we leave. ~ Wearing masks at all times when we are in a home or workplace. And if you would like us to wear gloves we can do that as well. All my staff always have some in their kit. ~ Social distancing while in the home, both with the client and each other ~ disinfecting high contact areas such as light switches and door knobs. ~ My employees are no longer car pooling to jobs unless necessary. In that case masks are also worn in the vehicle. ~ NO ONE goes to work if they are feeling ill. Even if it's just the sniffles. ~ If anyone (clients and staff) were in contact with someone who is symptomatic (whether they are positive or not), they are also required to stay home. ~ If any clients are ill they are to cancel, or if we notice they are ill we leave immediately. Because of these things that we are implementing, we ask that our clients are, and continue to be understanding when there are changes or cancellations of your cleans. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe and to help stop the spread of this nasty virus. And because no one is able to work if they have any symptoms, this may mean they are off work for day to possibly weeks, leaving us short staffed. I've also had clients asking if during this time we can use "real chemicals"? We are typically a Norwex company, and I feel that they do a great job in regards to the virus. However if anyone would prefer that we use something else for their own piece of mind, please let me know before your clean so I can insure my staff have the proper rags and chemicals to do the job. Just a reminder to all clients, if you are sick at all, whether it be cold/flu symptoms, strep or any other illness that can be passed along to others please cancel your clean. We CANNOT get sick, no matter how little the symptoms as we have to shut down out of precaution. This not only effects your clean but also the rest of my clients. Thank you for you understanding and patience.

SUPPORT LOCAL! Christmas is coming and we are of course in a pandemic, lets support local small businesses this holiday season. Effective immediately, we can no longer except donations until we are no longer in code red. The places I take donations to are restricting the items they are taking or they are no longer taking any. However, if you are still wanting to use our decluttering services we can still declutter your area or home, then we can store away the unwanted items in an area of your home such as garage or shed. Once places begin to take donations again, we can pickup your items and drop them off for you.
