Calling all FSJ Senior Flyers Hockey Club Executive, Coaches, Off-Ice Officials, Players, Sponsors, Fans and Volunteers!! Over the past many years, you have faithfully supported the Flyers Annual Teddy Bear Toss. We are extremely grateful that the FSJ Huskies carried the torch for us last season and were able to keep the tradition going. This year, I’m suggesting that we support the MooseFM EnergeticCity/Salvation Army/Home Hardware Building Centre Toy Drive on December 11th and 12th. We in the Peace Country are extremely fortunate to live and work in a very prosperous and affluent part of the country and are often guilty of taking for granted many of the blessings that surround us. Please support the Salvation Army in their efforts to brighten Christmas for some of our most disadvantaged citizens.

Please support the FSJ Huskies in their wonderful annual Fill the Bus campaign, in support of our local Salvation Army. There are so many disadvantaged souls in need right here in our midst. PLEASE do what you can to help look after these less fortunate folks.

This year is the 23rd Huskies Fill the Bus event and this year, the need is even more significant. Huskies are still organizing Fill the Bus this year but due t...o the new provincial covid restrictions we've had to make some changes. Huskies will no longer be going door to door to pick up food. People can drop food off at the grocery stores; there will be bins provided in each store but the Huskies will not be in the stores. Huskies will be in the parking lots at several different locations wearing masks so people can drop off donations at any of these sites. If you are not able to drop off food but would still like to donate, you can call or text 250 794 1968 on Sunday, Nov 29th and we will come and pick up your donation using no contact protocols. You can also drop off cash donations at the Salvation Army location ONLY (10116-100ave FSJ) #fsjhuskies #goPupsgo #huskies #communitystrong #fsj #salvationarmy #NWJHL #bellmedia #energeticcity #alaskahighwaynews

Not much new to report following the NPHL conference call Tuesday October 20th. There have been no changes in the most recent Hockey Alberta Return to Play guid...elines and the official word is that the NPHL continues to be ‘on hold until further notice'. Of course, there continues to be no cross-border travel permitted and very limited spectator and dressing room capacities remain in effect. Additionally, each of the NPHL teams seems to have their own set of local issues. We will convene again in late November/early December to discuss the possibilities of conducting training camps and getting an abbreviated NPHL season up and running in early January 2021. Regards, Paul van Nostrand President, FSJ Senior Flyers Hockey Club
