We were stoked to get this sneak peek of their new logo sign welcoming all to the center! The one image shows their brand colours as a reminder. The deep purple wall turned out fabulous, and even the orange Eiffel chairs match! Special shout-out to super talented team Greg and Lyle of The Sign Pad who did the amazing job of producing and installing the logo sign! Well done! What a way to celebrate 10+ years for this amazing organization! Can't wait for you to officially open the doors in the new place! Congratulations Wellspring!!

Spent the past couple of hours cleaning up some files, preparing to wrap up the year and stumbled upon this little unused monogram that didn’t make the cut. As we get ready to say goodbye to 2018, so we bid you adieu sweet submark!

It's that time of year again, and Pantone has just revealed its much-anticipated Color of the Year for 2019. The world authority of colours has chosen PANTONE 16-1546, AKA Living Coral, as the hue that's set to shape the year ahead. "Living Coral embraces us with warmth and nourishment to provide comfort and buoyancy in our continually shifting environment," reads a release from the company, which describes the hue color as "an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a g...olden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge." "In reaction to the onslaught of digital technology and social media increasingly embedding into daily life, we are seeking authentic and immersive experiences that enable connection and intimacy," the release continues. Apparently, the vibrant hue seeks to encourage "lighthearted activity." Would that be like sipping Rosé on a beach in Hawaii? What do you think about their choice? Personally...

Our client has a fun-loving nature, great sense of humour and a huge passion for what they do from due diligence to the excitement of new discoveries. It was a thrill to interpret this business through brand design and we're equally thrilled with the results! Next up: we'll be designing the website in the following months! Well, sometimes things change If you’ve been following along on the sneak peeks of the designs for Harbour Condos you may notice that there is something different in this final version of the brand elements! The wordmark for ‘Harbour’ has been tweaked, ok.. a lot! But we think it’s tweaked to perfection which is what we always strive for! We also added a darker blue to the colour system which works beautifully with the other colours || And a look at the sign mockup for ...Harbour Condos. The actual signage when it goes up will probably be a little different we only get to see the exterior renderings for the first time next week and we’ll have to design the signage that best suits the exterior But it’s good to take a look at different concepts to see how we can allow for the logo to shine in all it’s glory! The rest of the brand build-out is really starting to take shape! More on this project soon!

You probably know a ‘design snob’ In my industry we’re often labeled as one. Clients come to us for our design know-how, but I feel it is so important to focus on authentic branding. We listen to your needs and challenges and use creative strategy through design, weaving together the visual and verbal language. We never push a design agenda on our clients. It’s kind of like skinny jeans they might be ‘in’ but that doesn’t mean everyone should wear them. It’s not about what’s on trend. It’s about doing what is right for your business & brand taking the ego out of design and delivering solutions in a compelling and beautiful way.

New addition to the studio. Mmm that new leather smell! From where I sit... while all the creative work happens here in this chair, the magic of each and every project takes a village. Client goals & dreams are realized not without their input, time and dedication... Collaborating with other visionaries and talented go-getters such as the great tribe I'm working with now: photographers, videographers, interior designers, artists and architects, PR companies, tech wizards and more... A lot is happening in this little studio and I'll be able to show more work soon... In the meantime, thankful for the talent I'm proud to partner with! Happy Friday!

Logo concept in progress! Actually, this is part of the winner, we’re just tweaking and testing. This may become a submark. The woes when the client loves all the iterations and leaves it up to us to make the final call Logo design for the coolest condo coming to downtown Hamilton! The historic front portion of the building will be restored to it’s original glory days when it was the Radio Art building. We’re paying homage to the old name but giving it a hip, urban makeover. The word Art is positioned as a clever nod to a microphone! The address rises up to greet the wordmark just as the new tower will rise above the original low-rise brick front part of the property. Oooh lala!

I put together this moodboard for my client who hosts annual women's retreats in Namibia, Africa! Working with her logo which is that fantastic red signature in the circle. The elephants, yoga pose and the tree are pics from last year's retreat (don't they look amazing?!) but I developed a filter to help bring some continuity to the images. We added to her red and white brand colours to help convey her brand meaning and soften the overall look. New typography was also selected. We have been emailing back and forth for the past two days gushing over it! Simply stunning! I can't get enough of that yoga pose!!

This logo is approved and coming soon to the new condo development on Macassa Bay in Hamilton. A gorgeous location with several yacht and sailing clubs, waterfront trail and Bayfront Park, and the West Harbour GO train right out your doorstep. With so much to see and do, it’s perfect for the explorer in you! This became our inspiration for the design and we are all so excited about this project!
