Always love looking at last years farm pictures they always inspire me for the up and coming season ,especially at this time of year. To all you farmers out there -I wish you all lots of inspiration , happiness , good health and good weather of course. May the land provide .

The Nile has risen at Good Earth Farm! This post is to let folks know that Good Earth's farm stand will NOT be open this coming Saturday, November 21st. Essentially we are CLOSED for the season.... I had hoped to be open another day but the parking lot is now a big pond and the farm is a lake. The Mallards out number the vegetables at this point. I mentioned to many people last week that the stand would be open this weekend but unfortunately it cannot be. The farm floods almost every year and a plan to acquire a flat bottom boat or a paddle board and some hip waders to help with winter harvest is in the works. (I'm wearing my bathing suit in the photo because it's knee deep out there, and the ducks keep laughing ) Despite it all, it has been a good year at 600 South Road. Thousands of THANK YOUs for supporting very local food and business. It means everything. We love the whole earth when we love local. That said it is not all over though; there will be some Good Earth vegetables for sale on the Agi Co-ops online farmers market while quantities last. https://gabriolaagriculturalcoop.ca/ Many exciting things brewing and fermenting at the farm this winter! Nice to take a break and already really stoked about planting vegetables again in 2021. I'm grateful to live and grow on Snuneymuxw land.

We ordered too much seed garlic and have some left over. Squeeze in a planting of garlic before winter. You can do it! I've got a good few pounds to sell @ $15/lb. It's been separated and is ready to go in the ground. It's from the lower mainland. 3 varieties available: Duganski, Mex Purple and Italian. PM me if you are interested.

Be the ultimate recycler by donating your old recycling bins to a worthy cause. We need to get 25 bins to pot up some plants and keep them going until spring planting. Shoot us a message or comment on this post if you have anything. We can pick them up or you can drop them off at the farm and see what we’re up to

The flood is here and the end is near. As our water table rises, fill your table with the last of our greens for the season. If you didn’t catch us at the farm stand today, we’ll be open again on Saturday from 10 to 1.

The farm stand is open and we’ve got NAPA!! We know all you kimchi makers have hankering for the next batch - wait no longer, it’s here and it’s hot! Did I mention we’ve got spinach? Broccoli?? So much more, come through and check it out!

The frost was good to us Tuesday night - much needed to sweeten up the turnips the parsnips winter storage carrots also the kale just in time for thanksgiving! Wishes to you all may you have a joyful time with family and friends giving thanks for all that we share .
